The local Target had around 160 Super Nintendo Classics for sale.
I arrived 35 minutes prior to their opening time and was around number 32-33.
My girlfriend was right behind me and we looped around to get the second one (allowed everyone in line to get theirs before I got the second).

I was also informed that they are expecting another shipment next Tuesday that should have another 80-100.
It does appear that Nintendo has attempted to "correct" their production issues.
On the other hand, Gamestop and Walmart failed to procure enough for some of their smaller stores.
The smaller Target stores locally only had 80 a piece for sale, to put it into perspective.

What the hell, where do you live that they would get so many? Big city or s/t?

Suburbs of a middle-sized city (not major).
There is a "Target Greatland" closer to the city that had a stock of 300 (according to coworkers who live closer that way and picked their SNES Classics up there while heading to work).
Nobody here has had any issues getting their SNES Classics.
Those who I've asked either had to stand in line for 10-15 minutes or walked straight in and grabbed one, zero effort.

Weird, lots of collectors online are saying their local stores have barely any stock. Really odd release this time.

I called my local GameStop a moment ago, out of curiosity.
I was told they had 13.
Out of the 13, 12 had been pre-ordered (it was their preorder limit).
So it really depends on the store and the location.

If you check out r/miniSNES, you will see plenty of people talking about how solid their local Target's stocks were.
(example: https://www.reddit.com/r/miniSNES/comments/737jfp/target_had_solid_stock/)
It does seem that Target knew exactly to get as many as they could for their stores.
I had a conversation with the department manager (of Electronics) at the local Target and he informed me that corporate suggested putting in as high of an order as possible.
He had placed an order for 350, got 160.
I would assume that Target had a significant amount of access to the SNES Classics and it was up to the department manager to order enough based on their projections.

Gamestop, on the other hand, will always trickle out inventory.
Watch and be amazed when Gamestops that were previously out of SNES Classics magically seem to have bundles available.

Good point, I remember a few years back when they magically started selling Metroid Prime Trilogy and Xenoblade at high Used prices claiming they found a box of em in a warehouse when what actually happened was they got a shipment of reprints that they gutted to sell at higher price points

I picked up my Forza 7 pre order from Gamestop, and the only ones they had were for their pre orders. I'll probably pick the SNES sometime next year, if what they said is true about making it more available next year. I think this year, around Black Friday, I want to pick up the Switch.

Anywhere from 140-300 right now from the scum of the earth. It was only $80 to begin with.

As I was told, the local Target did get another shipment yesterday.
I went down there and bought three more (out of 150+ that the guy told me they had).
Currently sending them to friends that are having issues getting them at their local stores (as they're in far more rural areas).
Gamestop has not received any additional shipments of SNES Classics this week, according to the local store manager.

I might buy some more and throw them on eBay for $90-95 (with taxes, they cost me about $85.70 - and the extra will be for shipping).

I've somehow been lucky enough to get it off amazon. Never had to wait in line. Same with the NES Classic. They're both just collector items for me as I have pretty much all the games listed on them. I picked up an extra I'm giving to my nephew for Christmas. Gave him the NES one and he ended up loving it which made my retro heart happy to see.
