Well, ironically thanks to this thread I went to find the author of a memorable book and I found out it was already a movie.

Fat Kid Rules the World by KL Going.

Huh.. never knew.

...Finnegan's Wake actually got turned into at least one movie, and Roger Ebert didn't like it.

TANGERINE!

This was a book we were instructed to read in my elementary school, and wow, it's very well done. It's an emotional journey that I think would capture people's hearts if they saw it on screen.

As a TV series, the Illiad.
Troy was an awful movie, and the book (technically it's an epic poem) is long enough and has enough characters that get named and a bit of backstory could support being done as a war drama. Just so long as they don't try to pad it with "untold stories" for every single person.

Doesn't really count, but I'd like to see an extended version of "The Martian" that includes more of the dialog from the book. The movie was good, but I felt like there were some good scenes left out.

The WItcher. I'm aware of the old show from the early 2000's, and I'm aware Netflix is making a live action TV show and I'm stoked!

Percy Jackson. I'd do it PROPERLY though, and perhaps a show would be better than those god awful movies.

The Eon & Eona books by Allison Goodman might be interesting to do live action. I don't remember if it was good as I read the books a long time ago but the premise is cool lol.

Eragon by Christopher Paolini ought to be done properly lmao.

The Veldt by Ray Bradbury would be a cool, really short film. Anything by Ray Bradbury would be dope.

The Most Dangerous Game by Richard Connell. I know about the old movie, and I love it personally, but a remake is needed imo.
