Canadian study showed no known plateau on lifespan for human beings, disagreeing with previous studies on the subject.

Um, that....makes sense.

So, sort of like the old joke, then, about the fortuneteller who predicted "You will soon become very rich, as soon as you run into a great deal of money, and you will live happily afterwards, so long as you manage not to be miserable..."

More or less, for a given value of 'more or less'.

Maybe immortality could secretly exist? I hope it's true.

Hmm I mean yea if we could stop dying lol. Interesting point that eventually humans can have a higher and higher life expectancy. I wonder how far we can go as time progresses. My existential crises at the time though will be if I'll be left behind.

Too bad people die when they are killed, otherwise we'd all be immortal.

That's just for Canadians. I have no doubt Canadians would keep living until they die. But we Americans keep living even after we die. That's why we need all those guns to keep the zombies at bay. You are welcome, rest of the world.

O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

Even if death due to age or illness was eliminated we would still off ourselves within a few hundred years via accidents. Turns out Methuselah was just really, really, cautious.

You are technically correct, the best kind of correct
But even if we cure old age, people will still die when they are killed

As a Canadian, I can accurately confirm that yes, we do in fact live forever when dying isn't a problem. We have a secret ice-fishing spot in one of our igloos that we drink from to become immortal. It's covered by our health care.
