It seems like they wanted to implement some kind of cheap and surreptitious way to derail trains, but the problem is that damaging the tracks on such a short length scale can't accelerate the train enough to derail it. And once you start doing stuff to the tracks over larger lengths, it takes a lot longer or requires too much equipment (or explosive) to be sneaky. I feel like the thing to do would be bend one of the rails in so that the wheels sit on the outside; then the train itself supplies the force that would pry the wheel off. But if the rails (or wheels) are too thick this doesn't work - and the curvature might have to be really low, which would require bending a large length of track. Anyway,

For me it is like this:

If the CR forums were an anime, redokami would be the first villain that the main character faces, later the second villain would be gornotck, and at the end of the long adventure, the final villain would be Rujikin.

Besides that gornotck is way too funny to just be some lieutenant, this forum fanfic is pretty lacking. There are people around here who could eat trolls for breakfast - and would, if they actually tasted any good.

For some reason I imagine ninjitsuko as the protagonist.

I could see ninjitsuko heading some snarky political drama spoof, sighing as he wades into yet another shitstorm between forum posters.

I'd figure a couple of wood splitting wedges welded on the track parallel to each other but at 15 degrees to one side would get the rims on top of the tracks and derail it. it's pretty impressive that it took about 4 feet of track removed to derail even the cars.

As a former combat engineer in the US army I can say that it is insanely easy. As a former combat engineer in the US army I have no intention of describing how it can be done as the consequences are horrific. Any coward who would derail a train passenger or worse freight train that likely is hauling toxic chemicals is a coward and a piece of shit who should be tied to the tracks and executed by dismemberment.

And no I did not click on the link because I refuse to let them earn ad revenue with click bait from me.

No, that's how you derail a film, by putting him in it.
