I actually liked that there is a narrator. This adaptation is more of the Light Novel although they missed to mention one thing here that Eru has has done .... maybe they will mention it on the next episode.
but here is the LN translated by ....la la la la la

"Checkmate!"
After uttering this phrase softly, the largest scale lightning the world has ever seen channels through Guyale's arm into the broken sword, striking the Behemoth's head directly.
The Behemoth is a living being and has a brain in its head. The lightning through the eye socket is conducted through the optical nerves and the blood vessels, hitting the brain directly. The large current ravaged the brain of the Behemoth, frying the interior components. Even the giant beast couldn’t take it when its brain, which is the control hub of living things burn.
The Land Emperor finally took its last breath.
The electric current continues to burn the nerves, making the Behemoth spasm and jerk. That flings off Guyale that was hugging the head onto the ground. Guyale has exhausted its mana pool, so it can't even harden its structure, breaking into pieces upon impact with the ground.

But it looks like on the preview episode 3 the

I like the music, it feels like I am watching a war action anime something like that

fairly standard other world anime with mechs. Nothing special but nothing terrible either (except maybe the power fantasy main character who is completely unbeatable.)

As an aside, I wish being a programmer gave me all kinds of magical powers as well but apparently, that's not how things work in the real world. Though I guess knowing what a monad is, is kind of a magical power...

Episode Two:

Like the first, this episode was just okay. I liked it, but nothing that really wows. It does get a few points though because my oldest nephew walked in at the half-way point and enjoyed it. He was very happy to hear that a new episode would be out next week, however I do have to pause more often to explain or read things as he is still learning that skill.

A few things that were on my mind during this episode were:

I'm interested in finding out the answers to those questions. Hopefully, main chatacter runs into problems he can't solve immediately and more action for the twins at some point.

This show is just wish-fulfillment after wish-fulfillment. Anything good that happens just feels so undeserved.

Does the author not feel weird at all writing Ernesti as such a perfect being? He has no character flaws. He has never made a bad decision through the course of the story, at least so far.

Does our MC not have any past insecurities as a (possibly) friendless workaholic? Will his selfish and rash decisions eventually cause him to bite off more than he can chew? Why was he reincarnated in the first place? I'd love it if the anime decided to explore some of these questions, but I feel like that's not gonna happen :/

Idk why I feel so stumped by this show

I loved and continue to love the novel, but I am very disappointed with this anime adaption. It's rushed and you can feel it! They skipped content that could've spanned easily at the very least 3 episodes, into 1 episode. Because of that, other than the tra- e-err I mean Ernesti, I could barely care about the other characters. Instead of actual characters they look like cliche stereotypes that could be replaced with mannequins and the anime would still go on. In the Novel I could feel for these characters because it took the time to flesh out their personalities, but here, I could barely care if that turtle crushed them into paste.

Speaking of the turtle. I've always imagined the Behemoth to look something like the final fantasy Behemoth, or at least the Granblue Fantasy Behemoth. Large hulking minotaur/ bull like creatures that can move with the speed and agility of a tiger.A giant turtle just doesn't feel like a threat at all. I know it's massive and all that, but in the end it's still just a turtle, and if I learned something from Boyband Fantasy 15, giant turtles suck!

As someone who adores the LN to bits, I think that this is an imperfect, but still passable adaptation of the first LN.

Even disregarding the skipped material, the anime's first episode still felt a bit rushed, but for 3/4ths of an entire LN, it's not as bad as it could have been. Most of the important set up was addressed, with explanations about how the mechs work probably going to be intergrated into episodes 3 and 4. Chid and Addy's characterization suffers a bit because of the skipped material, but they have plenty of other moments to shine. I don't blame them for skipping most of the first LN. The parts they skipped weren't bad and do establish Ady and Chid as likable childhood friends, but it didn't have giant robot action.

Episode 2's pacing was perfect, probably because they had to cover a lot less of the material. The behemoth fight itself could have been better, mainly because the use of CG means that it can't be as visceral as the LN describes it, but it was still a lot of fun. The biggest issue is that the behemoth's body slam scene didn't get enough emphasis. Eru's joy was done accurately and well, but I prefer Manga Eru since he's drawn like a psychopath that lewds mecha at times. Anime Eru's elation is portrayed more innocently here with his attraction to mecha being more of a crush than "I want to rape it" in the manga. Which one is better is a matter of preference. That ED song is hilarious; replacing most of the girls in a generic harem anime ending with giant robots is gold.

As a side note, I think Eru's mother being the narrator works surprisingly well. She narrates about things she shouldn't know, sure, but in the LN, she's a pretty doting parent who doesn't discourage her son's insane actions at all, unlike most of his family and friends who feel the need to restrain him at least a little.

Assuming that they plan to do adapt LNs 1-5 in the anime, they have an average 2.5 episodes for each volume assuming they have 10 episodes left. If it is 11, then 2.75 episodes. The former is pretty doable, if hardly ideal. I just hope they don't rush the R&D sections too much. If nothing else, it'll feel like a complete anime if it ends on Vol 5 instead of most LN adaptations which have a cliffhanger ending that demands a next season.

Hmm I am liking the action but Marty Stu is just a little too perfect and fearless. Emilia's/Megumin's seiyuu is doing great but her laugh is the only thing she can't make sound like a boy's, it was too cute.

Just finished episode 2 and I liked it. It's not the best mecha ever but yet still incredibly fun to watch. Seeing Ernie pilot for the first time was fun and hilarious. It's starting to turn into one of my favorites this season so far.

Not a bad start. I'm interested.

But it feels like it's stealing elements from 4 or 5 other shows and mushing it into one. Not that this is an uncommon thing in anime but it's very noticeable this time around.

Favorite series of the season for me. It's fun, light-hearted, and funny. I love the main characters enthusiasm about robots, I think his love and passion for robots really is the staple of the anime. It's a blast to see him enjoy himself so much, you feel like you're along for the ride.

I really love Ernie's character am gonna give the LN a read.
