Tried Knitting , Martial arts , Exercise , 40+ hobbies , Anime , Gaming , socializing and more but the only thing that ever relieves stress for me is food or drinking 1.25 litres of soda or...well cutting/self inflicted pain which i have only done a few times and avoid like the plauge rather drink and eat and gain a shit ton of weight then cut.

Even after 8 years of therapy we haven't been able to find anything for me the relieves stress even though i have been looking for so long.
As someone who has a lot of stress due to the town he lives in and the only ways of relieving stress being dangerous in the long run.

I'm glad to be leaving my town soon and spending my life avoiding as much stress as possible until i can find a solution haha

Look into meditation/ breathing exercises. It's been scientifically proven to help you lower your heart rate/cortisol levels/stress.

Already tried that my therapist suggested it on the first year.
Sadly It doesn't really help at all maybe only a little :/

Also never said it was healthy just my only known way of dealing with it.

Everyone says. Exercise meditation and other stuff is proven to help but it either doesn't work for me or like exercise just makes me more angry and in turn more stressed.

It's a problem with No visible end imo thanks for the suggestion

Fair enough people are different, and if it's something that helps ease your discomfort who I am to tell you not to do it.

Chronic conditions can be some of the hardest things to deal with in life, and a tiny bit of respite from whatever is ailing you can lead to a reinforcement of those behaviors even if they aren't the healthiest option.

If it works for you then carry on friend.

Yeah i mean im all for differences but when it comes to this kinda thing it makes it hard not knowing what works.
Thanks man and i will i just plan to find eventually a healthier option (don't like the weight gain i had and that its lead me to) but i'm sure soon everything will be ok im close to a new time in life where im moving to a new town all my old stresses will be gone and i will have access to 1000's of more hobbies i can try :D

Thanks for the suggestion

Used to play roller derby. Man, THAT was a great stress reliever. However, I no longer have a nice job with a great insurance so given that I cannot afford great insurance to protect my bits and bones it will be no roller derby for me until I can get a job with benefits D:

In the meantime I find cooking to be a great stress reliever (obviously not AS good as derby, but I'll take what I can get) but not just cooking. I hate cooking for myself, as soon as you add another person though...OH BOY. I guess I really like to go 'all out' for other people? lol If its just me Ill have a plain ham and cheese sandwich. Guests involved? BRING ME MY FRENCH CUISINE COOK BOOK AND AN APRON. SHIT IS ABOUT TO GO DOWN!

I also do crossfit, don't really enjoy it as much, but I am trying to not be such a fat piece of lard. Meh.

Anime and manga primarily. Music, exercise, alcohol, and one or two other things I can't say here also apply.
