Episode 1
The first episode wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. The guy in the mask is back and no annoying narrator ruined the story. Not that it was as good as the episodes in the first season but definitely better than season 4.

I was underwhelmed by Season 4, and I wasn't even expecting anything that great, so I wasn't planning on watching Season 5.

But, if the annoying narrator is gone, maybe I will. After all, it's just a few minutes each week, and I can afford that many if I'm not suffering too much.

I guess it's a case of, I keep watching, because I keep wanting to like it.

I dropped the 4th season halfway thru. Feeling skeptical about this one right now, but summer viewing fare is still light right now...

Episode 1

The first episode started off great. The narrator is taken out and so is the live action scenes they added for the some reason. Now we can get around to enjoying the series once again.

I really hope this season will do better than a phone call. I mean, it was mildly scary at best but wasn't very creative.

Episode 2

The second episode was also good I kinda expect the little girl to take the form of the woman as she kinda resembles her when she was little. It's good to see this series do good with theses two episodes.

I enjoyed the story but I'm not sure what lesson we're supposed to be taking from this. Usually in Japanese horror there's some sort of lesson. This was really evident in the first season and I was hoping with the first episode of this season falling into that groove we'd be seeing a return. But what's the lesson supposed be here? Ignore children or risk your life being taken over by a greedy spirit? 0.o?

Ep 5

Jeesh! I was not expecting that to happen at all. The hairs on the back of my neck stood on end and I had tingles running up and down my spine.

The twists this season are much better than the past few. They've managed to get back to what made the stories great in the beginning.
