I don't think there will be an over riding story arc which seems to work for this show

It's a real mellow show

Episode 2

It's nice to see treasure hunter Sarah getting screen time. Seems this show has a lovable cast so far with diverse personalities.

The food this episode looked very ordinary tbh but I think the anime captured the texture and details well. The mystery vibe also is nice and I kinda like how the show even gave a glimpse of Sarah's childhood. Second half of this episode really gave more of an adventure feel. It's interesting that travelers, adventurers, and all type of people finding this restaurant .

I think there is, and they're setting up the pieces (the dragon, the demon discrimination, the RPG party, etc.) But yeah, they're taking their time about it. Need to eat, after all.

To steal a quote from Harpuia23:

Majestic.

Definitely in my top 3 of the season and contender already for best. Still too early to say though. Still awaiting some surprises from other shows. But this is great so far. I truly hope it keeps this up.

Ahh ok so that's how it's going to be, cool this will be a nice relaxing show every week. Sarah was Gold seriously this show has great character designs. Apparently the appeal of this restaurant is no one from this other world has ever eaten anything fried, so on top of introducing them to Western food he's also introducing heart disease lol

Yes, Just hell yes! This is some majestic stuff right here. Everything about this show is awesome especially the characters and like kkmenchi said the character designs are great as well. Show is absolutely beautiful. They have really nailed the themes especially when the old dude mentioned "so we have ourselves a Minced Meat Cutlet #2, eh?" with the flashback pic that followed. Man, I was smiling like no other that was so good. On board 100%, as i look forward to more demi-humans, humans, or whatever comes up next. And, how they come into play. Just, man. Really loved this episode and i will begin a rewatch soon

What really gets you is that they just casually drop that this has been happening for YEARS.

Very solid episode, this is a series that I'll probably only watch when I'm eating a meal.

If only Lucas and Spielberg had been smart enough to make Indiana Jones' kid a girl instead of Shia LeBeouf the last Indiana Jones movie might not have sucked so bad

Who would even be cast?

Does it matter? I'm sure there are plenty of young cute actresses who could fit the bill, one thing those movies never had a problem with was casting women (though I'm sure some will argue about Willie Scott, though obviously that was because of Spielberg's bias).

I guess not. Just not very familiar with actors under the age of 50 or so, so I couldn't think of any that would fit the bill. It would be interesting if they kept the character, as such, but made it a girl in the next Indiana Jones, if there is one, without explanation or even calling attention to it.
