well not all ghost either..

anyway I liked this episode .
Because Inaba is learning what relationships are important to him , he has learned to be more open minded and is starting to see things beyond the superficial level.I like that.

So far this is my top 3 title

And Inaba is back at the apartments though it took him a good half a year to come to that decision. Once he realized what he wanted, though, he was quick to act. I'm glad to see his relationships improving with his cousin as well.

This show has such odd pacing. It's only been 5 episodes and Inaba's already lived at the Yokai apartments for 6 months and then lived in the dorms for roughly 6 months. He's going to be ready to graduate high school by the end of the show at this pace.

Not really sure what to think of this show at this point. The pacing is definitely strange and the series seems to be constantly wavering between good, mediocre and boring. In the good moments, it's really good but they're not coming consistently enough for me to be in a position where I'm looking forward to this show every week.

The time spent away from the yokai apartment wasn't wasted, even if I did wish he hadn't left: Yuushi grew as a character. However, I'm incredibly glad he's back where he belongs. He sure takes his time with things. I'm a total sucker for yokai shows, so, more yokai is always better. But the pacing is really odd, I'm hoping there's a good reason for it. At least it's made itself unique enough among yokai shows- it's pretty different from all the usual suspects: Mushishi, Natsume, Mononokean, etc. The situation and characters are intriguing, so it's enough to keep me watching.

I don't understand why he couldnt visit, or write. He spent 6 more months completley ignoring the friends he made in those 6 months? What a dick. This doesnt make sense to me. I mean, even the buisness guy said they were all expecting some form of communication. He also has an entire school to make friends with and he just tries to push on the 2 guys in his room?

I never really got why he wanted to leave in the first place. Kept saying a 'normal' life. At least this episode he gets beat over the head with how boring that is.

On the flip side. It took the words of wisdom and seeing an old friend from the apartments to convince him to go back. Maybe if one of all those Yokai and people he met at the apartment had tried to visit HIM just once, he could of come to that conclusion sooner.

Both sides in this were pretty stupid.
Yuushi - "Im not gonna write or visit those people I liked."
Apartment folk - "Hey, why didnt you write or visit us, we were wondering about you. But not enough to write or visit you."

Well this is my take on Yuushi's behavior .

Yuushi must felt unwanted and a burden from his uncle's family and felt his cousin really didn't like him , so he feels he was burden more to bug them.

He was uncomfortable being in the Yokai apartment at first and didn't feel comfortable talking to his friend about it and so to avoid those possible question, he just write him letters and when he was at the dorm, he felt guilty towards his friend , so the more he didn't send any letter. He is pretty much trying to deal with it himself.

At first his plan to stay there was temporary and going back to the dorm was the original plan and was the easiest decision to make. I feel everyone in the yokai apartment didn't want to convince him to stay but for him to decide for himself.

Now him not visiting and not writing the peeps at the apartment, is pretty much him thinking "they wanted me to go back to his normal life" and thinks him going back will upset them.

But they all saw him at the gate but they all waited for him to make the first step back which he finally did as he finally figure it out what is really important and good for him and recognized that he was wrong in many of his thinking

The mangaka really took time in illustrating Yuushi's nayande ,komaru ,kurushimu .
But that was just episode 5 , so I wonder what is the rest of the episodes in this season. about

It occurs to me that he is getting the supportive environment at the apartment that he didn't get at home

And now his friend, Hase, has been introduced to the supernatural world. Looking forward to how he reacts since he's pretty arrogant. Still have no idea where this show is going but it's entertaining enough and now we get another cour in the fall.

Sweet news! I feel like the show's just gotten its foundation laid, and it has numerous paths that it could take. Looking forward to witness how Inaba and company goes forward. I hope they delve more into exorcisms and whatever Akine is up to.

I'm still processing how I feel about the direction the series is going in. I rather liked the idea of "ordinary guy learning to live in extraordinary circumstances" (or maybe "supernatural circumstances"). Now we're moving off into "but he's not really ordinary" territory and the emphasis on the yokai has dropped off to the point they're little more than side characters. I really liked how the series started and that was the direction I was hoping it would follow. I even liked the arc where he left because it set this as his choice to be there not because it was the only place he could afford.

I'm definitely in the same boat, and I remember mentioning that back in episode 2 (? The one were he first used his special powers). The fish out of water stuff in the weird apartment was cool and interesting. The loner who just happens to have mystical/spiritual abilities doing stuff with his wacky sidekicks is not.

I kinda feel where the direction of this story is , its as if in the first 5 episodes pretty much like the an arc on it own and from episode 6 till..? is different arc.
Since all those spirits in the book are weak and young , it coincide with Inaba's spiritual powers and the book forced him to develop it since he initially has no intention of developing that aside from the fact he loved being in the yokai apartment because he felt he belong there and he is no longer lonely.

I cracked up a lot in episode 7 It was pretty funny .

Next stop is Hase knowing more about his friend secret.

With Poweball getting bigger , maybe that 500 yen is the lucky coin to buy the lucky ticket
