Synopsis

Bunzou High School is welcoming its new first-year students. One of them, Koshiyama Shiki, is chosen to participate against his will in an impromptu fast-buzzing quiz meet by the president of the Quiz Bowl Circle. As a quiet boy who loves reading and doesn't want to stand out, Shiki is overwhelmed, but his classmate, Fukami Mari, is able to hit the buzzer and answer questions before the full question is given. As he watches her, Shiki realizes that there's a point in each question where the answer becomes certain.

I liked the original idea for the show big fan of TMS Entertainment so my guess this is going to be sleeper of the summer nice pick-up CR!
Side note I like the VA who played female lead already seeing negative comments on other boards cause she is fairly new but she nailed the part in my humble opinion

Episode 1

That certainly is a kind of show to say the least where it's all about how to not only know the answers, but to know the question before it is finished in order to get the right answer. I like how Fukami showing off what it is all about. Looks like it's just another one of those simple slice-of-life shows with the new element being all this quiz stuff. I'll stick around a bit longer for this as it definitely has some entertainment value in it.

Thanks for the discussion post.

Overall I enjoyed the episode, I do like the concept and a the characters are fine. The main female VA is different. I looked her up on MAL (Umika Kawashima) and apparently this is her 4th anime role although she has live drama show experience so she isn't completely new. The voice is different and I'm on the fence on if I like it or not.

It's difficult to believe they thought this needed a full length episode.

She sounds very monotone. Kind of like Suzune in Denpa Kyoushi, or Bossun's sister in Sket Dance, who were both voiced by idols with pretty much no previous voice acting experience.

Hmm, this episode seemed a little slow, but I suppose that was just because it wanted to explain the whole fast-buzzing thing. I am curious about this show, though, so I'll definitely keep watching. I'm assuming we'll be getting a tournament arc sooner or later, I bet that'll be exciting.

So far I like it.

The new female seiyuu, her line delivery is different, its almost like she has an accent but I think she is trying to be in character with just those lines. She actually sounds similar to Seki san when he has a more flat affect character ie in Psycho Pass but she does sound stiff. Hope she relax abit more.Seems like she is from Saitama.

As for the male seiyuu , he has done more and is used to the more expressive relax line delivery .The Sasajima quiz club pres is voiced by the new Yuu Kanda of the D Gray Man Hallow, Takuya Sato.

A solid start, although I wish the MC had volunteered at the demonstration. And if you must break out the panty joke, I guess this is the way to do it. I'm curious where they go from here, because it could easily turn into a tournament grind.

I also liked the VA, but I don't speak Japanese. She came across as earnest to me.

It was fine. I had pretty much no real expectation of it being anything I was going to enjoy going in and it pretty much lived up to my expectation. Not a totally wasted 20 minutes but I won't be back for more.

That was pretty cheesy I gotta say, but it enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I guess I should know by now not to judge an anime by it's premise. I like the girl's voice, it's nice.

It often seems like the more insane the premise, the better the story. My S.O. Is not a fan of anime but loves hearing the elevator pitch to whichever show I'm currently into.

That was different. I like different. I'll see where the show goes from here before fully committing.

I rather liked Fukami's seiyuu. Admittedly she's more "flat" than most others but that's because, and let's be honest, they often overact even the most straight-forward of lines. I felt her voice pretty well portrayed the emotions of the character without venturing into the "BELIEVE IT!" territory so often visited in anime.
