No its simple. I don't punch you until you punch me. If you punch me I punch back twice as hard.

Just out of curiosity, is it Breitbart, 4chan, or InfoWars that you prefer as a 'real news' alternative over CNN?

im pretty sure cnn is the one who got triggered lol,

cant be making fun of anyone now can we?
not in cnn's democracy

So reporting on something that's been turning a lot of heads lately and talking about the one responsible is being triggered, but acting like that makes them some sort of oppressive fascist regime that is in direct violation of human rights is not being triggered?

This coming from someone who I seem to remember equating calling another person fascist to be a guaranteed indicator of being triggered?

Seems legit.

the ppl calling trump hitler are delusional, trump aint commiting mass genocide lmao, they are just afraid, of nothing

how does cnn have the right to dox/imply to dox someone who made a gif, that wasn't implying violence to a person, it was literally just cnns logo

this is borderline squashing critizisem -fuck I cant spell that- in any form, even a joke,
whether or not his info was "kinda" already out there, it was wrong of a big company to threaten that
this is a big company we are talking about threatening it, not a individual

I'm really not sure what the point of any of this was. The part about people calling Trump a fascist being bullshit was exactly what I was saying when I compared that to people calling CNN the same thing. Again, why are you okay with one but not the other? It's almost like you have multiple standards for different groups. A sort of duality of standards in a way. What's that called again? Oh right, bullshit.

CNN didn't doxx anybody and everything tehy did was legal. They reported on something that was big at the time and still is now as well as the person behind it. Welcome to journalism. What's even the point of questioning the legality? If it wasn't legal there would be, you know, legal action.

What's even the point of complaining about squashing criticism? You don't seem ro care when Trump does it. Again, it seems like your standards have been doubled.

That was me. Personal insults are against the rules. Simple as that. It's up to the mod's to decide whether it warrants punishment.

That said, if someone supports doxxing, they are supporting ruining people's lives. It seems people tend to flip flop on the issue depending on whether the lives that are being ruined agree with them politically. It's hypocritical (and incredibly shitty) to condemn doxxing from one source while condoning it from another.

If you think it's fine for CNN workers to get doxxed, even if they have nothing to do with this story, you have no moral high ground here

So you agree CNN is ruining peoples lives and/or blackmailing them then?

No its simple. I don't punch you until you punch me. If you punch me I punch back twice as hard.

If CNN actually doxxed someone (which they didn't), I would certainly condemn those actions.

As for hitting back twice as hard, there is no moral high ground in that. If that is your policy, that is your decision, but don't act like two wrongs suddenly make a right. You are just becoming what you hate and encouraging the continuation of the chain of misdeeds, dragging both causes into the dirt.

Um CNN are the once who got triggered enough to actually doxx someone...

Well, no. CNN doxxed nobody and even if they did, why would you care? You previously stated you support the doxxing of CNN employees whether they had anything to do with the story or not.

No they didn't actually do it, but they threatened him if he didn't stop by saying "CNN reserves the right to publish his identity". And honestly with statements like that they deserve whatever comes their way, especially considering the kid is 15 years old. And other people at their office should've stopped it before it got to the point that it could fly out their door, as big organizations like CNN doesn't just have one person check things before they get published.

And making a article like that is nothing but bating 4chan into doxxing them

No one is 100% sure about the 15 yr old kid part. It might be but it can't be confirmed.

Are you really that shallow as to think it's just because of their political views. I couldn't care less if this was from the far left, left, center, right or far right, regardless of who they are and their political affiliations doesn't matter because they are assholes the moment they threatened a 15 year old are. Sure you can say not all their journalists are behind this, but the other once sure have the means to stop it before it got too far. But they didn't and that is a responsibility their colleague's should've taken.

CNN should've taken the morel high ground and seen Trump's tweet, ignored it and moved on. But NOOOOOO they instead have to dedicate money, time and resources to track down the reddit user who made it and threaten to reveal his identity.

And don't give me the BS of how a edgy meme/joke gif is promoting violence towards journalists, it really doesn't! And if it did then why are they threatening to reveal the kids identity, shit goes both ways!

Yea we don't know his real age, but it's most probably his real age as his stated on reddit multiple times that he was 14 last year. So it's pretty easy to draw to that comclution. And in this case I don't trust CNN for a second when they say he isn't a 15 year old

The guy is 40. When even Ruji is correcting you on that, you should probably take the hint.

And you have no idea whatsoever how a company like CNN works. I can't imagine why you think that some random journalist has the power or knowledge to stop a story that they have no part in.

Not sure how that's remotely a personal insult. Only in 2017 I guess. If someone is being stupid, it's not a personal insult to call them stupid. As the old saying goes, stupid is what stupid does. No wonder you're a leftist, you hate the idea of personal responsibility and improvement, which can only be achieved when a problem is identified.

It's up to the mods how to handle it. I am not a mod. They can decide whether or not it is worthy of action.

As for the rest, come off it. You don't know me. I don't believe we have ever even interacted before. You know, about a year ago people were calling me a conservative and assuming my values. Nothing has changed. I just call it as I see it.

What are your 'non-propaganda' alternatives to CNN that you prefer everyone be following instead?

Huh I wonder why there are pictures on his reddit that seem to indicate another age then 40. Sure he could be 18 or something like that which technically makes him a adult, but it's still shady af and it's a fact he has made posts about being 14 last year.

Yes I know how companies like CNN work, I work in a industry that is tied extremely well with media/press companies. And there will always be people above who approve things before it gets published, there's also colleague's that have access and help them during their research face as one journalist does not have the ability to do everything themselves regardless of what you think.

And someone should've stopped them before they actually went to the point of threatening someone.

Unless you doxxed him yourself then you won't know their age so don't pretend like you magically know the answer either.

If you go after the advertisers that CNN site uses it will hurt them commercials and ads are how the network makes the money
so go for their ads and hurt the network but of course its going take a whole lot of people doing it.

I have worked in the industry to see how things get played it's a numbers game.
> just go for CNN-advertisers LoL
