Huh skipped this the first week , thought it was a kiddy show, glad I saw people talking about it. See Comet Lucifer that's how you do an adventure show about going down into a giant hole. What a fun adventure this is going to be, such great world building, nice change from the usual anime tropes. Poor Reg, Riko's examination sounded a little too thorough. And Riko sounded familiar it's Gab from Gabriel Dropout (also Ku from Hinako Note).

I know it's early, but so far this is shaping up as one of the best shows of the season, if not THE best.

Damn these flags though.

Having read ahead into the manga....

Oh boy, I can't wait to see peoples reaction to later content that hasn't been animated yet.

Because man...this is darker then Berserk, and I ain't exaggerating when I say that.

Its beautifully animated, too, which helps.

Unless something goes very wrong best anime of the season. Been a long time since I saw such a strong contender so early in a season.

Wow... this is the definition of majestic and the very definition of why I enjoy watching anime (Being extremely creative and bringing it to life in animated form). Funniest part was.... I was most likely going to pass on this because of schedule reasons until Cay032(some more numbers) user told me to give this a shot and well. Extremely glad I did. The first two episodes contained some amazing world building and the animation brings all of the characters to life beautifully. Like legit, the studio deserves a standing ovation with the atmosphere, world, tone, color schemes, etc. This is going to be one heck of an adventure. Though, I am a little worried. No Lie, so many red flags. I just want these peeps to be safe damnit!

Overall, adding on to other people recommending this. Its awesome and peeps shouldn't miss out if they like this type of genre.

Some kids aren't going to get out of the abyss, are they?

The art director worked with several Ghibli anime, like Sprited Away and Howl's Moving Castle, and recently Your Name, so no wonder the background art is so gorgeous.

Episode 3

Riko is determined to make it to the bottom, but the abyss is filled with dangers and if she makes it all the way to the bottom, chances are she won't return as not even the white whistles have come back after reaching that far. The best she could reasonably hope for is for her mail balloons to reach the surface. So Riko's journey to the bottom begins with Reg, while saying farewell to Nat and Shiggy. Pretty emotional sendoff that was seeing that this could very well be the last time those kids see the two.

Episode 3

Good episode as a way of building up events soon.

At first, my impression of Nat wasn't that good but by the end of this episode, he really did shown honest concern about Riko's well-being. He realizes that they may are likely to never see again once Riko turns that journey to the Abyss. Really sad if you think about it considering they are kids and they only have each other. (well and Leader I guess)

Also, the world fiction of this series (at least from the descriptions told through storytellling so far) sounds very interesting.
