Episode 1

That was pretty weird to say the least. In this show, dreams can really kill you, and Haruto is experiencing a nightmare inside Yuko's dreams. Yuko sure has wild thoughts in her sleep, but it's nothing that Haruto can't handle with the help of that cat. It's off to an alright start, I guess, but nevertheless I didn't have high hopes for this show seeing how unreliable Gonzo is these days.

Episode 1

Okay, what is up with this show?!

It has interesting production merits, but what the heck is this even supposed to be? The narrative is all over the place and I am having a hard time following. It seems like it might be an episodic thing where MC encounters a witch and helps her out with their problems? I think??

We don't know enough about anything yet, so it's up in the air right now.

Really underwhelming imo.

I honestly don't know what this show is even doing with the story and although it has an interesting setting (Dream World), the visual quality and dynamics of the characters so far are unappealing. Going to give this show a few more episodes but so far, it's pretty bad.

Well it's pretty and the score is nice. That's about it. There's really very little done with the premise and the show overexplains the mechanics of the dream world taking away the unfamiliarity and mystery the setting should have. It also doesn't help that we only get any kind of depth of character from a one time antagonist and her backstory is a pretty unintentionally silly one at that. I'm not sure I'm going to keep up with this especially since it airs right around the same time as so many other shows.

I'm a huge fan of the Persona games and this is very, very heavily informed by Persona, Catherine, and Stella Glow.

I'm extremely, intensely excited for this one. First episode was EXACTLY what I needed today.

I liked it. It was pretty strange and there's a lot to it that has yet to be explained, but I'm interested in learning more. The conversation between the MC and the witch at the end didn't really make sense in typical anime fashion, but that's ok. Maybe it's just the translation. Anyways, that was pretty fun, so I'll keep watching.

Apparently there's a different director each episode so there might be quite a bit of variety.

First episode fell flat for me though.

Not much else to say at this point. I'll try next episode I guess. I like the trippiness. But not really feeling it as of this moment.

So wait, they explain in the episode that dying in the dream means you die in real life, right? So when Prof. Cat gets eaten and MC gets his head chopped off, shouldn't they have like, I don't know, died?

If this is just like an episodic psychological kind of series, that'd be super chill. Whether the "old style" is intentional, or Gonzo is strapped for cash, or if toning it down the animation a little bit makes it easy/possible for cuts like that sexy one where he had his cut off to it back on, then you do you.

Details, Details.

I loved the explanation one of the giant robot series had when their home base was totally destroyed in an enemy attack. Two episodes later all the people at the base showed up still alive and the only explanation that they had was "It turns out that we escaped and are still alive"
