First episode is up early on Anime Strike. Normally, it goes up at 7:30am Pacific, but the first episode arrived a bit earlier than that.

Episode 1

This is one of the shows I was most looking forward to this season, and the first episode didn't disappoint. Pretty much, this episode is all about making the point that in this line of work the most important thing to remember is to assume that everything is a lie. Eric tried to defect and make money off of his sister Amy's illness, but he couldn't fool Ange as she knew that Amy's condition was incurable and that he was trying to contact the wrong person if he was serious about getting her sister cured. And then killing him in a way so that he wouldn't be found until a week later was genius.

So far, it's off to a solid start as the girls are really cute, especially when they are wearing their spy outfits, and the action is solidly done. And then there's the soundtrack and this is quite a change from what I'm used to hearing out of Yuki Kajiura. That said, there were a number of things that were not fully explained as it wasn't clear why Eric would go to great lengths and what everybody's true motives were in all this. I'm looking forward to next week.

That was super cool from start to finish. Loving the characters, the designs and the setting. This is shaping up to be a pretty strong season so far. Oh, and the OP and ED are both great. Picking best OP and ED for this season is already looking to be very tough as there's some great ones out there.

"Are you going to kill me now?"
"No." *shoots*

I can already tell I'm going to like Ange.

Very good. A little of little touches in the animation and setting (like using a Webley-Fosbery semi-auto revolver). And, it turned out to be a lot darker than I expected it to be.

I was really looking forward to this. The setting is super cool. That OP is so good, sudden, powerful, and kick ass; love that. The girls are cute and dangerous. The animation, I appreciated most in the car chase and even when he was whipping out his bag and bird was really cool. Yeah no for sure, I'm super stoked.

Mixed feelings really. I loved the Victorian almost Steampunk style setting, and the flower garden setting was so vivid, it nearly looked like they were animating directly onto photographs. But I didn't feel the character designs fitted, felt more like KyoAni.

Ange carried it though. I had to watch her infiltration of the hospital a second time. And the life insurance policy at the end was a great touch.

Still feels like a "traitor of the week" type show. I'm going with the blonde captain for the next one, wouldn't even be surprised if they flipped one of the main five.

Holy Jesus that was good!

Great setting.

Great animation and art style. Very atmospheric.

Intriguing characters.

Plot twists galore (to be expected from a spy series)

Love everything about this. I just hope it can maintain.

Wow, I went into this blind, and I was pleasantly blown away by the detail in everything, except moe girls bring a jarring contrast to the roles they play . This and Abyss are starting off strong, applying the show not tell principle well.

Cavorite could be abused for plot convenience but they promptly showed that it had a drawback, which was a nice touch.
I can't help but feel that the Princess might not be of royal blood due to the type of show this is, but I might be over-analysing the scene where she says some lies become truths and the camera pans to a portrait of her with her mother presumably.

Definitely liking Ange's style, though design wise I like Dorothy the most.
No. No. No. No.

Episode 1

The first episode started off great with the introduction of Ange and the other spies. The first episode involves Eric who is trying to defect but before doing so wants his sister to join him. Ange and Beatrice go to visit the sister and after seeing her Ange does some investigating of her own. Before the day he is suppose to defect he sends a messenger pigeon and with that the girls put there plan to into action. Turns out that Eric is getting money from the wrong people and he was suppose to lure the spies out but thanks to Ange she figures him out. Now that he's been found out Ange makes him sign a life insurance, so that his sister could be taken care of after his death.

I look forward to more of this series.

Damn that was good, and very intriguing. The character designs aren't that great, although the overall world is pretty grand. This season has some damn good OPs/EDs. All and all I'm looking forward to more of this series and something I said may be a lie.
