This is the Asian emergency sea expansion plan I thought up based on the Chinese underwater train technology.

We are running out of land mass because of mass population. The solution? We are not going to Mars, rather, we explore the sea.

There are three sea levels expansion. Above sea, you got the boat, but it shakes, you need four poles to support the structure to make it stable, I am not going to live in a boat, I am going to live on a home above the sea.

Mid sea, why do I come up with mid sea? Because it is more eco friendly. A space that separates water staying above the sea with four poles, again, but you need a stable air ventilation system.

Blow sea, this is not eco friendly because if you do isolate water out of earth the fish won't have a place to live, but as far as it goes this is the closest to the underwater train technology. Again you need air ventilation.

Conclusion:
Do you think this is a good idea bad, let me know

The idea of the logistics of safety of mass-submerged construction on the scale of a small city, leaves me frightened and awestruck.

Haha, it is pretty cool I agree, fish tank, oxygen tank, we are the fish. Renewable oxygen by planting trees? Good idea

P.S Right but if you plan on planting potatoes you'd need to improve the dome if you plan on living there for a year and become a seasian

No we're not.

Only Asia and Africa have a population issue. Americas and Europe are fine.

Right, but land and housing is getting increasingly expensive, not sure if it is an Asian thing

Yes and no. The thought is interesting, but I worry that China and India would have less reasons to curb their population growth.

EDIT; typos

true that is a thing to consider sure it maybe useful or even just neat experiment to create such a community possibly even to experiment with space colonization tech to some degree but those communities likely wouldn't help much since i doubt they could be that big with our current tech especially if want to avoid to much ecosystem damage and similar issues

Humans creating cities like Atlantis underwater sounds like they might be fun

Most of the world is underwater. It's only for lack of technology that we haven't colonized it yet. So I suppose it makes just about as much sense as looking towards another planet to colonize.

In addition, the ocean deep is about as alien as other worlds in our solar system - or even liquid moons like Europa.

I always thought the dangers of earthquakes were very real for something like this. If you were to create a raised underwater city on a seabed that would detach in the event of a quake that might be interesting. It would have to be at deep sea level to avoid ocean currents though. Wonder what would happen if someone accidentally released the city and it started floating around. I'm getting seasick just thinking of a floating city. Oxygen could be solved with pressurized pipes being drilled into underwater mountains leading up to the surface.

Do we need to worry about overpopulation? I feel like Trump will soon incite WW3 with North Korea and the overpopulation problem will be solved.

Is it a cool idea? sure.

Is it possible? maybe in theory.

But the problem is a project like this would require an incredible amount of effort and resources. Possibly more than any one group or government has. So such a project would likely require cooperation between multiple countires. Not half hearted cooperation but absolute. And given how most countries are these days I just don't see that kind of cooperation happening.

Of course it's also possible that this whole idea is impossible to start with. I'm just saying even if it could happen in theory I don't see enough people coming together to pull it off.

America and Europe can suffer from overpopulation problems by their culture and inefficient resource management. Their individualistic culture mean that their population live in small nuclear family, which take a lot of space, instead of extended family. The middle class American family did worsen this problem by forcing their babies to sleep in isolated room so their children learn to be self-centered, rebelious, and uncooperative. Their need for material posession as a form of social status create an unsustainable lifestyle. The Westerners sustain their lifestyle with puppet governments in the third world who rob from third world citizen to serve Western business.
