You know years ago I remember wathcing a video called RobotNation about Japan and the failing birthrate granted it wasn't so severe then it was just a possibility and they kept asking women about getting married or aving children and most answered they preferred to work on their professions for the next like 8-9 years so they talked about making robots for the economy and population.

No real reason to mention this just thought it was interesting.

They can alway take some refugees in... just by testing out their Japanese Sword sharpness by chopping off their head! :p What I'm talking about is that back in old day in Japan the only way high ranking Samurai can test their sharpness of the blade is by chopping off the head of low ranking Citizens or Criminals.

It's funny, when Japan says no refugees, everyone agrees. But when the U.S. says no refugees...

Personally I question the sanity of anyone who supports accepting refugees from middle east war-zones when even Louis Farrakhan the leader of nation of Islam supports Donald Trump policies regarding them.

It's time to build a bridge, a grand connection between our great countries. You know, in case of emergencies or something.

It's kind of funny that immigration could actually help with the declining birth rates. But i think Japan are a very proud and fairly racially pure race and they dont want their people to be replaced or have others added to the mix to solve the birth rate problem.
I guess it could fix one problem but create many other new problems.

I can only imagion what it must be like to have lived in a nation that has had so little immigration ever. It's understandable why they are slow to want to embrace the thought of large scale immigration.
Of course it isn't just about being pround and pure and fearing terrorism and the like. There's more to it than that.

Here in Australia immigration has been used to create a "bigger Australia" and i know that here we had some similar (at least somwhat) issues with birth rates.
Our government here a while back intorduced a baby bonus to encourage people to have kids. If memory serves you got a $5000 bonus per kid. And the more kids you have the more governmant assistance you recieve.
Of course Australia is very different to Japan but there were the same fears here, declining birth rates and an aging population and dire predictions of how many elderly people we will eventually have compared to young people.
But we dont have so many insanely hard workers and socially awkard people either i guess.

I was reading an article recently talking about the few Muslim immigrants that there are in Japan. Japn do not just give hand outs like westen nations do. (not talking about foreign aid). In Japan you pretty much MUST speak Japanese if you live there, the Japanese dont hand out free Japanses lessons or anything.
You need to work for and earn everything if you want to live over there.

To the person that was talking about moving to Japan. Sorry but that would be impossible. It's almost impossible to get citizenship in Japan. From what i understand it is even hard to stay in the country for any sort of extended period.
Unless you are a benefit or an asset to them. You pretty much need to be an English teacher or translator, in the military, maybe like a engineer or computer programmer or something like that. By that i mean someone with qaulifications, someone they need or want.
Or be an exchange student or something.

But yeah despite all their own internal problems, you cant blame the Japanese for learning by others examples of how bad Muslim immigration can be.
And as others have said, it's kind of always been a thing with Japan, having closed borders. Last i checked they're 98.5% Japanese and i think 1% of those immigrants are other Asians.

Although I think he's right, the "fix birth rates" meme goes on for quite a while now.

If he really wants to fix birth rates, he should start with a paradigm change in labour politics. A basic income, as well as more and better labour laws. People who work from dusk till dawn don't have time for a family. And people without a job don't have the money.

Japan is making the right decision and I applaud them for doing so.

Warm bodies, in and of themselves, do not make a nation prosperous.

Look at Africa, Venezuela and the parts of the Middle East that are not Israel and don't have any oil if you need proof.

The reality is refugees have negative worth, they bring nothing of value to the table, they can only take.

That is why so many nations simply refuse to have anything to do with them.

I don't see the harm in taking in a few women and any female babies. especially if they would reject islam and join the human race.

but all males any age have to stay and fight it out..
this is their mess anyways in culture of brutal male dominance. customs from the cavemen era.

if I was world dictator this would be my evil decision.

Just like a predatory male, let the men die but accept all the women, right? Of course...
