Hello everyone. We all should have that anime that we finished or caught up with that we ended up disliking. I myself have a couple anime that disappointed me as I started watching more episodes. The anime that was one of my most disliked was Sword Art Online. To admit it, I thought it was the best anime ever, but soon realized how overrated it seemed to be to my friends and the public. It's still a good anime though, I guess.

There are very few I end up finishing while disliking. Eromanga Sensai was fun because of the inadvertent hate-watching that popped up on YouTube, but I would have dropped it early on otherwise.

I'd have to say that I really hated Glasslip by the end of it. The premise sounded great, but I really started to hate it halfway through. Something possessed me to see the entire show though, so I did finish it... but everything about it sucked. The characters, the "plot", the supernatural abilities that went nowhere... it was very disappointing.

Hopefully that answered your question!

Saekano is the easy answer for me. It started out as a harem show I actually enjoyed because it blatantly pointed out just how stupid harem shows were, and even some had some intelligent things to say about anime/manga/game fandom and industry.. then it ended up just committing at the end to all of the stuff it had been insulting and criticizing the entire time. I started out legitimately loving it and then ended up feeling insulted for having wasted my time on it by the end.

Slam Dunk

Somehow I managed to get through 100 episodes, so obviously I didn't dislike it that much, but it really grinds my gears when people say it's really good. I don't hear people talk about the anime much, but I've heard plenty of people say it's the best sports manga of all time, and it really wasn't anything special. It had one of the most annoying main characters I have ever seen, and honestly that's probably the main reason why I dislike it. It did have good basketball.

Honestly, a lot. I'm a stubborn completionist, so if I invest enough time into a show, I'll usually finish it no matter how much I may not like it.

For example, Beyond the Boundary, Terror in Resonance, Akuma no Riddle, and Shakugan no Shana, to name a few.

I'm a completionist, so I generally feel obligated to finishing a show once I get past the halfway point seeing that I made it quite far already, and I might as well just finish it and bury the hatchet afterwards. As for the show I finished watching and disliked, the easy answer would be Yosuga no Sora. While the stories are engaging, this show just overdoes it with the sex stuff and all of that was simply agonizing to watch. But I did manage to get to the end.

Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers - Let's take a mystery that can be solved in 4 episodes, stretch it to 12, make the choice obvious and then not resolve anything on the hope they repeat it for a second season

Magical Warfare - this could've been summed up in a 100 minute motion picture

A Town Where You Live - After five episodes I was curious what the rest of the series was going to be about. Turns out it's about my least favorite thing in anime.

Maken-Ki - I'm only including this because I streamed season one uncensored by season two was "edited for TV" and I cannot fathom why

Naruto Shippuden - It was 06 May 2015 when I'd had it with this series filler, and it was (roughly) 16 weeks ago when it ended. I no longer cared, I just wanted it to be over

If you viewed it at Funimation, their simulcasts are broadcast (censored) versions like CR, but are replaced by the final (uncensored) version (at least for subscribers) after the are released on home video. Apparently you viewed the second series before Funimation released it on home video (and as I recall, the first had already been released on home video before the second premiered).

Overlord, Witch Craft Works and Yumekui Merry

All of these started out great and with a lot of potential, but then felt rushed by roughly two thirds in. As if they were designed to attract people to the manga.
