A one month old account with almost no previous activity made a post calling opposition to net neutrality "based". It was immediately stickied with an overwhelmingly negative response.

https://www.reddit.com/r/The_Donald/comments/6mv4x5/trumps_based_fcc_chairman_ajit_pai_on_why_he/

Use this link below to see the deleted comments.

https://www.ceddit.com/r/The_Donald/comments/6mv4x5/trumps_based_fcc_chairman_ajit_pai_on_why_he/

Why this is interesting:

The_Donald Mod team participates in heavy censorship and will delete any comment that isn't a happy smiley comment for what the Mod team wants you to believe. They immediately ban for any user that doesn't blindly support what the Mod team wants you to believe. Many people believe that the mod team are professional shills and this is the basis for the support for this strange account.

If this is badly executed corporate shilling, it is believable. Ajit Pai is referred to as "based".

#based #swag #ajitpai

????

This is just subjective pondering. But, it sure is strange a month old account is able to get a stickied topic on The_Donald just because he called Ajit Pai #based and linked to a video from ReasonTV, a Youtube channel funded by a conservative thinktank. Thinktank is fancy talk for a group of lobbyists much like a murder of crows or a shill of Trumps.

As of five hours ago, the stickied topic was replaced by a new sticky

https://www.reddit.com/r/The_Donald/comments/6mxkyh/we_here_at_rthe_donald_support_reddit_neutrality/

This was posted six hours after the other topic was stickied. This essentially replaced the sticky. It's also a strange topic.

Instead of explaining net neutrality, they go on to use the topic as a platform to attack the Reddit Admins and basically conflate net neutrality, free speech, and censorship together into this mess that doesn't really explain net neutrality at all.

The posts that try to actually explain net neutrality are deleted. In this topic, and to the moderators of /r/The_Donald, net neutrality is about defending their ability to maintain their Reddit. Then, while pushing this narrative that Reddit is censoring them, they go and censor their own topic about censorship. There seems to be more posts here that are flatout anti-net neutrality as well. It's so confusing.

????

To be frank, I can't even tell if this is actual support for net neutrality or not. I think it might just be a clickbait title to go with their Reddit rant. The topic is essentially written as though it was about censorship, not net neutrality. Perhaps they are just not putting effort into explaining net neutrality because they don't actually support it, but having this topic gives them the ability to say they do.

I use Reddit a good bit and I can say The_Donald is a such a shit hole of hypocrisy and bullshit. Besides that fact, the fact that they are doing shit like this, is really underhanded. The sub needs to be banned.I was banned for calling them out a post about being the center of free speech on Reddit lmao. Banned along with like 100s of others. It wouldn't phase me if TD literally was some conspiracy type shit trying to move a tide in a certain way.

People on both sides speculate that team behind /r/The_Donald was given trouble by the Reddit admins for referring to the place as a bastion of free speech in the description.

I think at this point, they don't even refer to other modpower-friendly Reddits when they are called out for their heavy censorship. They now basically own their censorship.

I never even posted on there before and was already banned and I barely even posted with that account. Only thing I could figure is they are constantly searching reddit, see what people are posting, and banning them preemptively.

The fact that I don't have the least bit of trouble believing that shows just how sad a state of affairs we're in.

I would like to point out that here on Crunchyroll right now, there is barely much discussion by the Trump supporters on the topic of Net Neutrality, but I do believe Rujikin posted that he supports Net Neutrality and is sure that Google and other companies will explain to Trump why this is bad.

Actually saved it. Not because I thought I'd need proof, but because of how bullshit they are lol. I was making a comment on how the mods were bragging about banning 40 people already.

LMFAO

I actually remember this topic.

And it's so dumb. I'm on some pretty underground forums with moderators that pretty much have to make their case to the entire forum that a user needs to be banned. Hell, they can't even delete posts without a shitstorm. Most of them are hard left as fuck.

Maybe they have a point in regards to the open, anonymous style of forum, but their general sentiment is false for sure.

Hell, 4chan was hard left before Obama anyway so maybe anonymous forums just have a tendency to be hostile towards whatever the status quo is at the moment. Whoever is invoking "free speech" more at the moment, probably.

I don't find this surprising at all. It's fairly obvious the people that hang around such places are easily manipulated. A fair few of our esteemed forum members have mentioned being regulars there and they have parroted those exact talking points.

I think it's because the internet and it's anonymity. People get to be trolls. Politics are in that zone of 'things you shouldn't casually talk about', along with Religion. So it's an easy troll target. I mean just look how ridiculous Trump's whole campaign was (at least on the internet I mean). I'm pretty sure a lot of those people from TD (and such) aren't who they actually say they are. Basically taking a meme too far.
Trolling as a republican is the most believable outlet that lets you be batshit crazy.

Haha. Good luck explaining that one to Trump.

He has a hard time enough understanding his own healthcare bill.\

As for /r/The_Donald, doesn't surprise me one bit. That site is literally just a propaganda echo chamber.

As you might imagine I was permabanned from there months ago. I tried to stay under the radar, but I mentioned something about tax returns during an AMA session, and the mods banned me instantly.

There is no dissent or any actual discussion for that matter allowed on the site. It's all propaganda memes and crazy articles from the bowels of youtube and the least credible news sites and blogs just created like a week ago.

Wouldn't surprise me the mods are for net neutrality. They would want certain portions of the internet as censored as their site is.

The Seth Rich story originated there.

We all saw the effect of that.

I don't think Pizzagate actually originated there, but they definitely helped push this narrative.

For the past two days, they've been trying to push that Trump Jr was baited into a conversation with that Russian lawyer (aka, a setup) and that she is a secret liberal. I've seen this posted here today.

Isn't The Donald mostly just upvote shill bots anyhow? Much like Trump's Twitter/Instagram followers?

I mean the bot scripts for it are on /pol/.
