Hey All,

We've got another slew of catalog titles from our friends at Funimation hitting the library today!

The acclaimed Haibane Renmei comes to Crunchyroll for members in the US and Canada.

After a dream of falling, Rakka emerges from a cocoon into the walled town of the Haibane: enigmatic youths with halos and flightless, grey-feather wings. With no memories of her past, questions of her existence cloud Rakka’s mind. She struggles to learn the ways of the Haibane and to help her new mentor, Reki, escape the Circle of Sin.

Laughing Under the Clouds also joins the library, for members in the following territories: US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

When swords were outlawed in the Meiji era, the mighty samurais began to disappear. Those who rejected the ban rebelled, causing unrest throughout the countryside. To combat this criminal activity, an inescapable lake prison was constructed. Three young men, born of the Kumo line, were given the duty of delivering criminals to their place of confinement—but could there be more to their mission?

Ga-Rei-Zero will also be available for members in the following territories: US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

An elite squadron trained to combat supernatural forces is called in to investigate reports of invisible monsters terrorizing Tokyo, but their mission is complicated by the interference of a rogue exorcist. When the mysterious female slaughters the overmatched attack force, her former comrades are ordered to lock down the crime scene—and forever silence their old friend.

The sequel to the hit show of (almost) the same name, Eureka Seven AO lands today for members in the following territories: US, Canada, UK, Ireland, South Africa.

On the island of Iwado, 13 year-old Ao Fukai lives with an aging doctor after the disappearance of his parents. When Iwado is attacked by an organization known as Secret, Ao unexpectedly finds himself at the controls of the Nirvash, a robotic fighting machine. Alongside his childhood friend Naru Arata, a teen girl with psychic powers, Ao heads into battle, determined to protect his island home.

ALL HAIL LELOUCH! Both seasons of Code Geass return to Crunchyroll for members in the following territories: US and Canada.

The year is 2017 of the Imperial calendar and parts of the world are uner the control of the Holy Britannian Empire. Lelouch Lamperouge, an exiled Britannian prince, encounters a strange girl known as C.C., who gifts him with a great and terrible power. The Geass. With this powerful ability, Lelouch can get anyone to do as he wills. But the power of Geass: is it a blessing…or a curse?

Speaking of double seasons, both The Slayers Revolution and The Slayers Evolution-R will also be available today at 5pm for members in the following territories: US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and South Africa.

The original cast of The Slayers is reunited for the first time in over a decade in The Slayers Revolution! Lina’s gang goes head-to-head with Pokota, a little furball with a big destructive streak! But there’s more to Pokota than anyone knows, and if Lina can get to the bottom of his habit of blowing stuff up, she could end up with an awesome new ally!

Hey everyone, you may have already heard the news that Chargeman Ken is now available for Crunchyroll members in the US and Canada!

Infamous among anime fans in Japan, this 1974 series by Knack Productions is known for its nonsensical plots, absurdly incompetent animation, and brutal 10-year-old hero. See young Ken Izumi gun down wave after wave of ineffectual aliens, while dealing with misaligned animation cels, repetitive music, and a near total lack of sound effects. The best joke is that none of this was meant as a joke.

Hey Guys,

We have a couple of new catalog titles that are now available on Crunchyroll for members in the US and Canada!

First off, Shining Tears X Wind is now available!

When one of their classmates disappears, the student council of St. Luminous Academy moves to investigate. Souma hopes the investigation will give him more time with Kureha, the beautiful object of his crush... but he gets his wish and more when a mysterious stranger drops them both into another world! In this rapidly dying land of monsters and magic, Souma discovers that he is a Soul Blader, a legendary knight who can draw magical swords from a person’s heart.

We also have True Tears now for members in the US and Canada as well!

Shinichiro is a high school student who aspires to be a picture book author. His classmate Hiromi came to live with his family after her father died. Since then, she's bottled up her feelings and has an aura of melancholy around her. Shinichiro wants to cheer her up but doesn't know how. One day, Shinichiro meets Noe perched up in a tree. Noe's got weird rumors going around about her. A tragic event occurs but Noe doesn't shed any tears. She explains that she gave away all her tears and she's searching for someone to give them back to her. Will Shinichiro swipe away Hiromi's sorrows and find a way for Noe to find her true tears?

True Tears is one of the few shounen romance shows where the main male character is interesting and not a blank slate for the male audience to see as themselves. Also, one of the only shounen romance shows where the secondary male character is a fully fleshed out person and not just a wing man or comic relief.

I cannot recommend True Tears highly enough if you enjoy deep character dramas.

Hey, it's a business. Get more subscribers if you want it licensed in your country.... this stuff costs money. On the other hand, I feel for ya, I'd be pissed too... but these are pretty minor titles although maybe worth a watch if you're bored.

No, they are old series, picked up by Discotek. Almost all new series are simulcast to Latin America ... and one of the biggest misses from last season just had a region extension to Latin America announced.

Actually, getting more subscribers would help with some region restrictions, but it's not going to help with something like this. Discotek is a North American disk distributor. They were not licensing this for the streaming rights ... those just came along with the physical distribution rights they were aiming to get.

They don't have a streaming platform, and instead they habitually sub-license streaming to Crunchyroll.

Complaining to Crunchyroll about this kind of territory restriction is like complaining to the weatherman about it being cold in wintertime. It won't change anything because it can't change anything, because the weatherman did not decide to make it cold.

I'm in Beijing ... a half a year wouldn't be enough to catch up on the UK shows that are not in Asia. Hell, it wouldn't be enough to catch up on the Sub-Saharan African shows that are not in Asia.

I can't tell if you are making a bad joke or don't have a clue what net neutrality is.

Jesus Christ, it's already 2017, and people still don't get how anything sublicensed by Discotek is inherently US / Canada only. CR has already been doing it for years.

CR has some titles from Anime Limited that can be viewed in the UK, but not in the USA: http://www.crunchyroll.com/publisher/animelimited

So by your thinking, those licenses are "biased" or "discriminatory" against the USA. It's the same either way, the available license only covers what it covers.
