Hi i also had this problem with wanting to utilize Crunchyroll in a offline state and after some research I found out, that in a way it is possible for at least ios devices as that is what i utilize. if you

1. Head to the website "vrv.co".

2. Create a account as prompted.

3. Once logged in click the top right profile button.

4 Select the option named "link Crunchyroll".

5. Follow the instructions provided by VRV (It will lead you to Crunchyrolls website where it then asks you to log in and then confirm the account linking).

6. Download the VRV app available on the App Store.

7. Launch the application and log in.

With all of this done VRV will allow you access to Crunchyrolls channel as a premium member accessed by tapping the bottom left menu button and selecting Crunchyroll under 'MY PREMIUM CHANNELS"(if you do not see this tag it means VRV is not registering the link in that case restart app and/or wait around 5 mins if all else fails refer to this help faqs by Crunchyroll found here https://help.crunchyroll.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000885443-VRV-Account-Linking-FAQ) from here you can browse any anime available on Crunchyroll AND download it for offline viewing. Hope this helps as I too had trouble with this when I bought my subscription for Crunchyroll.

it's worth noting that VRV is only available in the United States. for now, those living elsewhere (Canada, UK, etc) will not be able to download shows through VRV..at least not in a way that doesn't violate the terms of service.
