i mean being that patriotic is imo dumb but that's just being ridiculous being patriotic doesn't MAKE someone racist sure there may be ALOT of racist patriots but look at all the racist people who aren't patriots....then it becomes clear being a patriot means little in the way of Racism.

I dont see why it's dumb? Your allowed your opinion though. Personally i have never done the cape thing or teh flags at my house or on my car thing. But i have no issue with it at all.
I like to wear an Aussie flag hat or t shirt on Aussie day.
People now a days act like it's almost the same as going out wearing a swastika.

Well yeah you're right, look at how many people live in Australia but hate it. Hate it as far as hate Aussies and Aussie culture. Dont get me wrong, many love it as well.

I think people should be proud but taking excessive pride is just silly imo it's just a country but yeah opinions are fine i'm not against it or have any issues with it.

It's nothing like a swastika it's stupid people get hated on it

I meant "you're" btw before someone else points that out..

Yeah but i was talking about on Australia day more so. If you were acting like that everyday then that'd be over the top. I have no issue with having a flag up though.

Yeah i mean slight exaggeration but some people act as if its the same.

Cant lie i always feel happy when i see non whites get involved and proudly display the Aussie flag Something Asians would do but not Arabs and that.
I know Aboriginies dont like it. Which i can understand.

I actually voted for her. I have alot of respect for her. Back in the day i never did. When it was about Asians.
But now i agree with her on ALOT of things and she genuinely cares about this country. She cares about Australia and Australians and feels that we should put Australians first. Protect Australia and do whats in the best interest for Australia.
She doesn't get much respect and is often treated like she's an idiot(when shes on the news and that).
Sounds a bit like Trump hey? lol

She dose say some stupid shit at times though. Our main two political parties here are terrible and are really ruining Australia.
Pauline's votes are at an all time high. But she;d never get enough to become Prime Minister.

Like Trump as well, they try and put her away.

oh on Australia day? then for sure a flag is no problem imo.
Aboriginals should just have their flag flown also if that would appease them.

She seems to say stupid shit on a fairly regular basis. Have you considered that maybe that's why people want to "put her away"? -.-

I mean, if your two main options are terrible it doesn't mean the third option is any less terrible just because its a different flavour of awful.

Well it's compulsory to vote here. We get fined if we dont. And i like her. I voted for her so sh'ed have some power in the senate. And to not give my vote to someone i do not like or dislike.

I define racism as discrimination against a person on the grounds of their ethnicity.

The US could really use compulsory voting but there's no way on God's green Earth the Republicans would ever allow it to happen.

I don't know enough about Australian politics to weigh in on the other parties. But they can't be bad enough to justify yet another political half wit peddling simplistic nationalist xenophobia as a magic cure all.

Yeah it's annoying in one way because you know that one shit party or another is going to get in so it makes you not want to vote. And almost feels like a wasted voted if you dont vote for a major party.
But i usually vote the one that i dislike less, not because i particulary like them, but to aid in preventing the one that i really dislike from getting in.

Which i guess could help Americans, if they had to vote it could really effect outcomes (possibly).

Sometimes i really cant be bothered, particulary in state elections.

Australians are more divided than ever in recent years. We had a hung parliment not long ago and had to vote again. Also in the last election our current PM only just won so due to that his party are fairly powerless in the senate as they dont have enough seats.
The party that lost and other smaller parties can band together and prevent any of their polices from getting through..

And our two major parties have become very untrustworthy. They BOTH have done the same thing. The person that we/the majority voted for was removed and replaced during their term.
So twice we ended up with a Prime Minister that we did not vote for. Same party yes, but new PM chosen by the party internally, not the public.

And lol all she wants is for Australia to stay Australia. Not to become China or an Islamic state. I fail to see why that is a bad thing?
And for Australia to remain the lovely safe place that it is and has always been.

Anyhow i guess i should stop derailing and watch some anime.

Wow. Your regime is truly frightened by the idea that people see through this "democratic" farce and withdraw their vote.
Couldn't live in Australia for that reason alone.

While I'm uncertain of the legality of such actions, it is possible to submit a blank ballot paper, since voting is anonymous.
