Seriously why would you go there?

Still the fact they are doing this shows just how bad relations have gotten. Not that they were ever good but still.

BTW the OP mentioned two students but WTF were they doing there in the first place?

We never did declare peace with NK. Its still technically a long ceasefire.

it never made since to me for an american to go to north korea. i wouldn't go. going there putting yourself in jail willfully. I don't how we got into it with them anyway. i guess because the rich boys don't like them being communist. if they want to be communist let them be communist. do business with them lift sanctions allow money to flow into their country. bring them into the world. don't shut them out.

Just hope humanitarian aid and nonprofit work will not get hindered, though it's hard to say what kind of application process this new ban will entail

they dont want a redshield central bank, and neither does Iran. maybe some people can put 2+2 together there, because every other nation in the world has the redshield parasite infestation to deal with.

It WOULD be a nice country to go to if the Kim dynasty disappeared, and we hooked the citizens up with a proper government...

Anyway, nobody should even wanna go to the North lol, banning it is cool with me.

Are they also banning sticking your hand in a fire?

North Korea is one of those hell holes you just leave alone. It serves as both Example and Evolutionary Scalpel.

Kind of.... The only way to get into North Korea is to first go to China, book a special tour via a Chinese agency, get a tourism card, and spend 100% of your time under the strict supervision of the tour guide.

That being said, only an idiot would actually go to North Korea, anyway. I understand the desire to go, there's a sort of thrill to it. That being said don't be an idiot. I'm surprised it took until something like this happened until there was an official ban. I mean, the U.S. has harsher restrictions on Cuba, and don't even try to compare 21st century NK with Cuba. Yes, it's not the best place in the world, but it's no NK.

to be honest shouldn't this have happened sooner? north Korea likes to imprisoned foreigners for b.s. reasons and it probably isn't the safest place to go to for vacation or any other reason

I was expecting this to happen, especially since Donald Trump is all about travel bans to and from hostile places. Nevertheless, the situation is quite bad in North Korea where money that should be used to feeding its citizens and improving its infrastructure is instead being used to build these WMD just because that's what Kim Jung-un wants. There really isn't any reason to go to North Korea for anything that's non-diplomatic seeing that this place is behind in the times with nothing more telling than a night time image of the area where North Korea is in the dark, while China and South Korea are both well-lit.
