Okay, seems like I'm an outlier here. I love the way it looks! I might even keep watching just for that.

Plus, I'm interested in the story and characters too. I'll have to wait and see about it, but there was enough there for me to think this could keep my interest.

I love they way this show looks too, even the whole lack of face thing when the characters are far away. (Reminds me a little of what Meganebu! did.) It certainly had the comic book feel down in both story and art, which I felt worked for this setting so far.

I couldn't help but to think back to the old Adam West Batman series. It was, in a way, refreshing to be reminded of something older like that. (I am a fan of older live-action television shows.)

Sure, I wish there was a tiny bit more movement, but overall I liked this first episode and the 24ish minutes were done before I knew it. This first episode was honestly nearly exactly how I was expecting it to be knowing what I did before going into it.

I also laughed at this part:

That I-Guy has some sass.

I'm looking forward to seeing were episode two brings us and how these characters are going to develop.

The Reflection Wave One EP 1 Ceremony

Despite a few bumps I am one of the few who liked it / I dont mind the comic style art and who cares if it's like Spiderman in places Stan Lee desrves that right

I will agree they should have more art than blank faces

I used to read a lot of spiderman comics when younger and the sacasm was prevelant in them like thbe anime

Another point missed the overbearing news people / and the overuse of instant video

The Hero Names I-Guy / X-on ( On Eleanor's board it is Ex-xon ) a Pun to the Oil Giant

Those who thought the 4 girls were filler / guess again

The 4 girls in Japan Kana, Hiro, Uki, Saya are actually 9nine who are the VA's

ED SONG "SunSunSunrise" by 9nine

I like the James Bond ( Movie sings ) look of the ED

Voice - Yoshii Kanae (Kanae), Murata Kana (Hirona), Sakuta Uki (Uki), Nishiwaki Ayaka (Sayaka) - ( 9 nine ) ED song

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9nine#Current_members

Very cool music / this is pretty huge

Insert The Song Sky Show / "Sky Show" by Trevor Horn ( Of Rock Groups The Buggles " Video Killed The Radio Star " and Yes ) I am impressed

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trevor_Horn

And he is in chrage of the nusic for this anime.

His Producer resume will shock you

ED song "SunSunSunrise" by 9nine ** See Below

Villans- Froggie / Bat Thingy ( Dead wing )/ Tenactle Guy / Water Sleleton vs Heroes . I-Guy ( Aigai) and another hero ( Exxon) Also A Photog (Eleanor ) has powers to escape tenactle guy

There is a group like Men In Black who collect the Criiminals however the above villans are freed by a woman Wrai ?( Steel ruler )

On TV it is explained that most recovered from the reflection incident but some recently have side effects (powers )

Episode 2

After a while lot of WTF in the first episode, at least things are being explained. These supervillains just want to be recognized, but they are taking their act too far. It turns out that this was all just a trap to lure out X-On out. Pretty typical of how supervillains operate. Nevertheless, there are lots of questions being presented here, and at the very least things were less over the place than the first episode. But still, going from the villains to X-On, and then to I-Guy in LA, things are going nowhere at the moment.

Hmm, I'll give this show another chance but not really sold into the main characters yet. Quite frankly, I'm much more curious about what the antagonists are planning in particular with this week's cliffhanger.

Action scenes stilll fails to impress me so far.

Just finished the 1st episode this was Bad man Just plain bad. As someone that reads comic books it didn't feel like a good comic, as an anime the same day My hero academia come out it fails there too. This was bad it reminded me of another stan lee production "who wants to be a superhero" that show hurt as well. The art is bad as a whole felt like cheap flash art, the sound made me think this isn't a finished product. The story was yeaaaaaaaaa.

Stan Lee is a great creator when he has good support who can help and stop him. I think this is another example where people forgot that and the end resut is not good.

Came back for a 2nd episode and things didn't really get better.

I can safely say that this is the most lazy and downright insulting piece of animation I've seen in a long time. Its obvious that Studio Deen really has no budget invested in this show. There are so many static backgrounds and scenes where they just do not actually draw the character's faces (or if they do they look incomprehensible). Not to mention all the fight scenes invoke the imagery of a bunch of kids fighting in a swimming pool with those large foam noodles because there is no audio or visual weight behind any of the character's actions. It also looks like every single character is moving in perpetual slow motion.

If Neil Breen made an anime this is what I would imagine it would look like.

This is a tough one mainly because while I largely feel that the second episode was much better than the first, it wasn't really because they solved any of the episode 1 issues but more because this episode just focused on different things. The action was still pretty terrible looking, the dialogue was still mediocre at best, and the whole thing still just felt recycled. But, the characters are actually more interesting now that they have been given their own moments. Not-Tony Stark having a team back him up with the visual and audio effects was a pretty cool reveal. And, heck, the show even proved it can look good in some scenes. The opening prior to Not-Magneto showing up in New York actually meshed really well with the visual styling.

I guess it will really just depend on what sort of content the show goes with moving forward.

With the production crew telling I-Guy where to go and make it look good for the cameras, is this supposed to be like a Tiger & Bunny hero show?

Much better this week, The stylistic choices work stronger in tighter, more intimate scenes where the directing gives a much more 'panel-to-panel' feel. I get the impression this was the original intent for the pitch. There was also enough content to fill 20+ minutes this week, which meant each cut didn't linger for 1-2 seconds longer than it should like in episode 1.

The action scenes are still janky though. The key frames are strong, but the movement just makes it seem like they are missing some of the inbetweens, and the bold lines obstruct a lot of what should be the finer movements.

I agree with StriderShinryu. If the show focuses on smaller, more personal character stories, rather relying on its subpar action and animation it could be worth a watch. Time will tell here.

Episode 3

And so, the next case takes Ellen to Dayton, but before that her apartment goes up in blazes. So she comes to Dayton to meet Lisa, who has been on a wheelchair her whole life. Somebody attempted to kidnap her three years ago and then the Reflection happened that changed everything. Then she gets kidnapped and brought to the Air Force Museum by Steel Ruler, and her power activates where she turns into a robot to save the day. Quite a bizarre sequence of events that was seeing Lisa becoming a robot and all. At least things were different in this episode, but nevertheless it still is bad.

Seeing that a lot of shows are skipping today (Re:Creators, Welcome to the Ballroom, and Kakegurui) that I decided to give this show one more episode, and that just didn't change my impression of this monstrosity that is all sorts of random and stuff. So it's a no go.

Another episode that pretty much showcases both the good and bad points of the show fairly clearly. Character moments are good, and the character themselves aren't bad. Lisa is great and I hope she gets continuous focus moving forward. The mystery of the 3 Japanese school girls is intriguing me.

But, the action still looks awful and flows terribly, and the dialogue is too often pure comic book in a bad way. Plus, Lisa's "mech" is pretty dumb. The reason for the design is obvious but I really hope that's just an initial look and that it gets a lot cooler later on.

Well looks like there is no time limit on how long X-on can retain a power he's gained. Unless he has a limit on how many he can hold at a time I would say he's is a full on Emplate. No wonder the bad guys want him dead.

Lisa seems to have an awesome power with few limits as well as she incorporated two of her childhood passions into her chair. Odds are she can add more. Love how she wouldn't give Putrid a chance to spout his villainous catch phrases.

Ellen....Why are you tied up you can god damn teleport

You know what, I'm starting to think her power isn't teleport

I think it may be something like a half second time stop. When her apparetment burns down the window shatters as she teleports through it, could have been caused by the fire or could have been caused by her jumping through it during time stop.

and it would explain why she can't teleport out of being grabbed or tied up.
