I've seen this game being streamed a lot recently on Twitch. Anyone played this before and if so, what do you think of it?

Though I have yet to play Fortnite, I have seen videos of the characters and the style of the fighting system. I compliment the dancing animations implemented in to Fortnite. If I had more leisure time, I suppose I would play and determine if I will enjoy or not.

For the Battle Royal, when I initially played it a couple of months ago (during season 2), I didn't like it. Mostly because my matches consisted of me gathering materials / weapons for 5+ minutes only to die quickly at the first enemy encountered.

However I decided to give it another go at the beginning of this season (4) with some of my friends giving pointers on strategies / weapon usage, and I've been enjoying it. Epic is always adding new stuff (modifying the map / equipment / game modes).

One thing though is that unlike other shooters, since you can build structures, your building skills is just as important as your shooting skills. A lot of times, me and my friends get wiped out just because the others out-build us.

If you decide to give it a go, I highly recommend playing the 50v50 mode currently available. It's a great way to learn the ropes without having 99 players out to get you. It's free to play and the only things in the cash shop are cosmetics (skins, emotes, etc.).

For the Save the World (PvE) part, it's still in early access and supposed to go free to play this year. So unless, a friend can give you a game code (or maybe a PSN or such summer sale), I wouldn't recommend paying for the founder's access pack. It's still enjoyable, although grindy (like FTP games). I especially like the humor of your assistant.

I had planned whenever i should play it or not. Ultimately, i decided not to play it. I have too much stuff to do and games to play these days.

i play it daily, even ended up spending a couple bucks on it to unlock the battle pass. it's quite enjoyable especially if you have friends to play alongside.

It's kind of like Minecraft 2.0. The hype is the same, the demographic is pretty much the same, and the idea of everyone having to know about it and play it is the same. Not only that, but you build, get resources, farm trees, all that kinda stuff. It's glorified Minecraft. - Bobbert Lee

It's okay. After a few rounds, you get bored.

it seems to be appealing because it's free to play, also trending on various consoles and platfoms
