For any military people living overseas: Even if you have a United States IP address, crunchyroll will not work for you.

I have been dealing with it working AFTER I cancel my subscription, so I'll resubscribe. Then two days to a week later the service will stop working again saying I'm in the wrong country for my subscription to work.

This problem persisted over a few months as I checked in with my ISP to find out that I did in fact have a United States IP address and that my other video subscription services that required it worked. BUT NOT CRUNCHYROLL NOOOOO.

Subbing and unsubbing I gave up after the third time (yeah, I'm pretty dumb) they took my money and ran.

TL;DR - If you're in the military, don't sub.

All cases I've seen involved Japanese IPs from Japanese internet providers. I believe that the military does inform geolocation services about their IPs, but there is likely a lag in processing. We usually get the complaints shortly after the bases get new IPs.
