Random question I know but how would you feel if it was proven that aliens were real and that they have helped build civilizations throughout history and monuments like the pyramids and stone hedge

They'll probably make something like SAO . What type of creature makes a molecular transformer for their epitome of science? Gotta be the bugs.

They are real but they haven't affected my life yet so I would feel exactly the same as I do now.

If someone managed to prove it and the world to accept it, it would probably be the end of the world as we know it. Just think about it; almost every major religion would enter the state of uncertainty because suddenly, there are beings that helped shape the world and it wasn't their deity they worshipped.
Science would change drastically and people would start losing fate in science in general. Theory of evolution would be the first one to get hit, along with anthropologists and historians who would lose so much credibility because they failed to prove and explain these aliens before.
Possible large divides among large groups of people would start forming- new religions based on aliens entering the scene, a bunch of lunatics gaining traction preaching who-knows what.
There's probably even major wars that would start and the whole political map of the world would change because so many values that exist currently in the world would be questioned and re-valued.
Worst of this all would be probably all the dank memes that people would come up with. The meme-scene would get so saturated it would implode on itself and cause irreparable damage and countless casualties.

As some guy once said: "I don't know what is more scary: proving that we are alone in this universe or that we aren't"

I am depressed by the fact that everything I work on there is always a better answer . All those ecchi inventions that appeared might have been confiscated alien technology and I was not there to try it out . Like body swap, shrink ray, molecular transformer . Right but what can I say, Fred can only entertain himself with ecchi manga as of now

Well it would be wrong to think that we are the only sentient beings in the known universe. Plus we are always finding new objects that have been buried in the desert, the rainforest, and in other parts of the world that show that some other form of advance technology had existed before todays technology. Was it Aliens? Maybe or We were once very far advanced in technology and we destroyed are selves to the point of extinction and the knowledge was lost and we had to start over again. Or Earth can be a intergalactic zoo and all the species on the planet are here as fodder for alien testing.

Science - science would advance, I don't know if that's what you meant by "change". Quite why people in general would lose faith in science I don't understand as science changes all the time. That's the point. "This looks right and follows these rules, oh, now we found out that it's not quite right and the rules are more complex so we're updating the idea". If aliens had seeded earth, there's already theories about that. Right now it looks like life arose naturally here, if it's proved not to be then that doesn't disprove Evolution or validate gods of any sort. Any why would historians be wrong? Aliens seeded earth so history is wrong? Was MLK really a KKK Grand Wizard if aliens started life on earth?

It could advance depending on what sort of discoveries would be made together with this proof, and maybe it would completely change the way science is portrayed in society toward better.
But what I meant by 'change' was more like people who were borderline sceptical or denying various scientific facts and theories would get so loud and they would drag so many more along with them. Works of people like Darwin and many other in similar fields would get trashed so much and deemed worthless and probably even heretical. Conspiracy theorists' heaven would become reality. You can observe similar in politics. It is so easy to shift people from left to right and right to left. After WW2, Europe was mostly leaning left, now one immigrant crisis later and right wing got an incredible push and lots of countries shifted very fast.
This just proves how easily people's minds can change and if you feed those people with things like: "Scientists were lying to you all along and didn't want you to know about aliens", then you can imagine what happens next
