I really think gory scenes are best left alone without any censorship, so the people watching can see how the writer wanted to portray that scene.

I don't like censorship on sexual scenes, if it's there, then it probably adds to the story (otherwise why is it in the story?)

Fan-service is one thing I don't mind being censored if it's overly sexual. And although I don't mind fan-service here and there, I hate it when it's overused in one specific Anime over and over again (if it has no meaning).

I also agree with Reitrahc about the comical censorship, since it adds some comedic value to the show, especially if the censorship is done in a creative way the fits the current scene.

I have never thought about it until now, so I guess I don't like censorship in general.

An HBO show with an assault scene. Imagine watching that with your family.

I have thick skin, but some things make me really, really uncomfortable.

Also I don't like seeing characters I like brutally murdered, but... that's not really a censorship issue

I've been traumatized enough by Attack on Titan. Especially season 1.

This is exactly why I prefer censored editions.

Money. Sex sells. Sometimes, writers are forced by publishers to include sexual content just to up the rating. This happened with the first episodes of Stargate SG-1. The Showtime execs forced the writers to include a nude scene ("for the men"). Later, when the original writers got to rewrite the episode into movie, they excluded the nudity because it didn't fit with the story.

When it's unnecessary to the point where its borderline worse to have it than not to. Nothing says "this is stupid" more than unnecessary censorship.

Censorship?

You mean like when I don't wanna see something and turn my head to avoid it looking at it?

Oh yeah I heard about that. But for real, this isn't even a question anyone should be asking. Don't censor it and if you don't like seeing gore or something in a scene, just don't look for a second?

Of course, this is the human race we're talking about so that answer won't do; because those who can't control themselves, feel the need to control others.

That's hard with subtitles, which why I'm learning Japanese.

Only thing that should be dealt with Is fake news. They should be held liable for fake claims. You say you have inside sources that tell you someone did something, and that is found to be wrong that source should be investigated, and if found that the media down right lied about the source... then the media should be fined... every time.

I personally don't mind things not being censored as long as there's a heads up at the beginning of the show/movie/whatever.

Not sure if I really understand this... Censoring news and fake news are two different things.

Anyway, if the original (uncensored) source is available, then sure, why not? Some people are in sensitive environments where it might be awkward for uncensored content all the time, and it would not really hurt anyone if both are available.

I actually prefer my hentai like they have it in japan. I have an aversion to genitalia so it works for me.

anything found false should put a strike (and fine) on them, if they keep doing fake reports lien, or manipulating data, they should have a block placed on them censored to the point that they loose the right to even report anything for some time.. Kind like being banned from a sight for braking the rules.. for a set amount of time.

Because I can deal with nudity and death on the news, what I can not deal with is false reporting, and Agenda pushing/manipulation. That should get them censured/blocked. media rights revoked for some time.

NO, Media should not censor anything.

People need to see the gory stuff like ISIS cutting off heads.

This is the world we live in and we need to stop protecting people from the "real bad stuff" that actually happens. But hey if you prefer ignorance over truth that is your prerogative.
