This being an anime forum, do you remember having to sit through "Princess Mononoke" in a '99 theater, for literally no other reason than to prove to Disney that we wanted more Studio Ghibli?

(And then Spirited Away came out two years later and got all our love and the Oscar, and we all went back to Mononoke pounding our fists with evil grins, saying "Oooo-kay, Crabby Wolfy Girl, there's a lot more you owe us than just ten bucks and three hours of our lives...Time for some long-earned PAYBACK." ")

I am a huuuge Fullmetal Alchemist fan. I finished the 2009 version (Brotherhood) as well as the manga before, but I've never finished the 2003 version (I watched it as a kid though) so I tried watching it recently.

First few episodes in, I was starting to hate it because of the nonsense (i.e. the philosopher's stone gun in one episode, that one time Al became a philosopher's stone, that "water to ethanol" crap, etc.) but i forced myself to watch it.

I regretted it in the end. It doesn't deserve a space in my memories

Every season of American Horror Story that isn't 1, 2 or Coven Coven is like a masterpiece...all thanks to Jessica Lange. She isn't in any of them anymore so obviously an abject failure.

Mass effect andromeda. I tried so hard and so long to like it, even after everyone had turned on bioware. Also FFX.

50+ "critically acclaimed" episodes of Monster, if this kid is so evil why do you keep letting him go!

I tried really hard to enjoy Berserk (2016). It was just horrible.

I tried so hard to like hot tea, but didn't like it. I actually like it now, which is weird
