Have to try and avoid social media until they get the episode up. Bad enough I can't watch the episodes on TV like I pay the sub fee for

I hate spoilers. I’ll give an example of a giant one that happened to my son recently. He was absolutely furious. He watches the Walking Dead and we don’t have cable. Previously we pirated and downloaded then but we stopped doing that. He watched on Netflix last year and got up to season 7 so this year he wanted to watch season 8 and was super excited. He made the decision to pay for the episodes and watch them from steam. Well, (not sure about AMC.com) they always put online the episodes 24hrs after the airing for digital viewing. He looks forward to them all week. Last week he had a minor spoiler show up on his google newsfeed from Forbes magazine that hinted at something in the episode before the digital viewing became available. He was quite upset. That was nothing compared to this week though, it was/is a major episode and once again the Forbes headline showed up and it was a 100% complete spoiler to a major event of the episode and one of the biggest events ever in the Walking Dead. He was FURIOUS.

Now I now you can have things show up in social media and such, discord or other friends chatting about it and spoiling it but this is/was different. It showed up as a major news story dead center on his screen and the title gave away everything. No chance to turn away or close out. You see Walking Dead is actually one of the few shows that a large number of people watch online vs on tv as the age group and in this day and age is moving away from cable. This action of spoilers is/was ridiculous. He spent an hour raging and crying about this. He is 17 bye and this is something he really looks forward to.

Anyhow spoilers are stupid and unavoidable ones are insanely stupid and unforgivable.

I know this wasn’t about dbzs specifically but I just wanted to share how badly things like this can affect a person.

Oh and on a seperate reply for myself, especially that dragonball Facebook channel tha always posts scenes hours after airing. Not even in my follower lists but they always show up due to facebooks stupid interest prediction. I actually made the decision yesterday to delete Facebook as a result of these and the rabbit hole of videos that you can never end clicks by on lol
