I currently have about a 10 minute walk to and from the shop where I work. The downside though is that it is normally -20 outside and windy, so that sucks a little

you work and sleep in your office or something ?

Some jobs could allow people to work from home if they want instead of forcing them to drive 30-50 minutes to work. You can track people using computers when they are logged in so there's no need to come to work anymore

pretty much. Work, sleep and play in my office. I have a queen size mattress + 47 in tv+ game consoles +1 computer desk + 6ft table+ 3 ft table the office chair in the middle of everything

I think it should be a trend. Jobs that can have people working from home should be allowing the employees to take that option-- i'm sure the climate change supporters will love the idea as well-- less cars on the road! I bought a new car around March 2017-- it's already August 2017 and i have yet to refill the car!! 5 months later and i'm still in the "break in " period (600 miles -- the car has 301 miles on it at the moment)

Speaking as a mechanic, leaving the same gas in your car for 5 months is not good for it. The ethanol that is put in gas causes it to absorb water and break down rather quickly.

About 30 minutes on bus, and 10 minutes on car (for school).

Just curious.

I am gone from my home from 6:15 am - 6:15-6:30 pm Monday through Thursday. I spend on average, 40 minutes just driving to and from work. Of course, the time will differ depending on traffic, accidents, and weather in the winter.

If you have to commute to work or school, how long is it?

leave at 4:30am and get home around 7:30 pm.
I use public transportation and sometimes uber. Usually its takes an hour and 40 mins to get to work or home on the bus.

That sounds awful.

I have a 2 and a half hour commute to university, usually used for sleeping.

I changed from a short walk into almost an hour commute. One day when I'm feeling daring I can cycle there, half the route has a separate cycle lane which looks lovely. It's the busy road bit I don't like. It looks like a half hour ride.

I left the gas in my 1996 Accord (parked in front of my house) for 4 years. It can start and run just fine. I would not do it again though
