personally, i think this is only a problem for those whose sole purpose is to look for people to argue with online.. please go outside and attend those debates with a lot of people instead of hiding behind a screen

i don't know if you can change anything online by arguing with another user--

Any argument that starts over the internet has already gone on for too long.

Id just Ignore them, Its none of my concern if some random online doesn't agree with me. Both sides start to look like asses eventually anyways.

Usually I will just post my personal opinion and sometimes relevant facts when requested, then move on.

Arguing on the internet generally is like trying to knock down a brick wall with your head. You aren't going to change the wall, and you just get a headache.

it's a boring cliche, for me I tend to start ignoring them and/or not replying back, if it gets too pointless that I no longer want to see their dribble, I end up blocking them. don't know if there is block or not on this site, haven't gotten around to needing to find that out and/or have a reason to find that out. there probably is somewhere I'm sure.

When it comes to internet arguments I use my flowchart.

Where a large majority of lonely people try to win arguments in order to feel as if they have any power in their lives.

I like Neil deGrasse Tyson's stance on arguments.... if they last over 5 minutes then both sides are wrong.

You can't win an argument with another argument.

I love internet arguments, an example of something I like to do on a regular basis is go onto Facebook news pages and find stories that have sensitive and just comment things to enrage everybody. The recent nuke escalation, race rally and womens rights among other things are a gold mine for pissing people off. Really get them foaming at the mouth. : D

Haha, why thank you! I don't personally believe the stuff I tell them to really agro them, but raising their blood pressure is what we aim for.

You should read Vonnegut's Mother Night. I think you'd get a lot out of it.

Thanks for the recommendation, although I most likely wouldn't read it to be honest. Really only read travel books and manga.
