Just saw it here in the Northern Adirondacks (NY State). Pretty ho hum through my #10 welding shade. Shot numerous exposures through the shade with my good camera. Still pretty ho hum .... but walking through my woods I saw plenty of eclipse crescents, pinhole projected through the leaves onto the ground. Now that was very cool and interesting.

I am anxiously awaiting the scientific photos from professional Astronomers.

Hope everyones eyeballs are still functional.

Was worth the wait. It was partly cloudy thru the partial eclipse both ends but the total, well, what can I say. It did get dark and a sunset 360 degrees during full cover existed. Saw Jupiter during full cover. First rays of sunlight once full cover subsided was like sitting under a suntan lamp at full power. Way cool! Brother-in-law's digital camera wouldn't focus so his shots look blurry. Oh, well, there's always NASA's.

There was no Eclipse during 1:05pm to 1:15pm due to small amount of rain! But it went dark, it felt like 8:30pm or nearly 9pm.

I didn't go outside until the "moment of" sort of thing. with me and my enemy being the sun, couldn't linger out there for very long, but went out a few minutes before when it was "dusk" and then saw the entire thing and then went back inside. it was interesting to take "night shots" in the day time. my camera freaked out and went with flash. animals were freaked, but it was an interesting experience all the same, and guess what we're still here

Here is my best eclipse picture today. I used my Sears telescope I got in high school and used a projection screen to avoid looking directly at the sun. In Maryland we only got a partial eclipse

My family just used a colander to view the eclipse. I'm in LA so it wasn't totally amazing, but it seems like the next eclipse in 6 years will pass right over my cousin's house in New York, so maybe we'll go see it then.

What, did a certain someone NOT do something stupid enough today to take headlines away from the very conjunctions of the heavens?

Oh, don't worry, the day's not over yet:

I was hoping that those of us who bore witness to the eclipse would get vampirism, werewolf powers, or at least elemental magic. So far I can';t detect any physical changes, but it was a good time. Drove out to my friend's house in the country with about 10 other people from my friend group. Was pretty cool One of those cool rare moments you can cash in on and feel all epic/special.

I live right in the path of totality, but it was cloudy all day.

I did still catch a glimpse here and there, though, and it was cool to see everything get dark really fast as we reached the peak. Hopefully someday I'll get to see another.
