In Agents of MAYHEM, you run a no-holds barred operation against a shadowy super-villain organization known only as LEGION and their mysterious leader, the Morningstar. Explore the city of Seoul as a variety of Super Agents to thwart LEGION's vile plans to take over the world!

Agents of Mayhem is coming out this week on Steam

Anyone else planning on getting this? Ever since I've seen the gameplay trailers, it looked like a really fun game. (I used to really enjoy the Open World style of GTA).

Also, anyone else played Saint Row before?

I really enjoyed some Saints Row in the past but I'm not sure about Mayhem. A big part of what I enjoyed in Saints was the character creation and I'm not sure I want the game style of game but with set characters.

I liked Saint's Row (SR2 was best, btw) but I'm just not amped for this. Like Strider said, character creation is something I'm into so losing that sucks..... Also Just Cause 3 is free on PS Plus right now so I'm think I'm set for open-world insanity just now, thanks.

I actually looking 4ward to this n 4 fine reason to. I just love how the volition company is still quite alive (besides SR i've only played 1 game of theres with much enjoyment) seeing how it feels like borderland characterising to me i really felt the humorousness, gathering around (to only me n' me, maybe) I liked how there isnt character customization, legit tho i'm glad they aint doing it this time felt it kinda threw the story off having a different far fetched character 'YOU made' all the fucking time, but again this is just me. I just hope 2 have a bigger a brighter gameplay with the city n characters as awholesome. Haha really like the [BAD vs EVIL] story set up cuz ya know. The Saints aint necessarily 'gud saints'

I'll wait to get this on sale. I haven't heard too many great things about it and it doesn't seem like it's on par with the previous Saint's Row entries.

I picked it up today and only got to play til the prompt to go back to Seoul after the tutorial missions.

Unsure how I actually feel about it? The big black dude (Hardtack?) doesn't feel fun to play, his harpoon is clunky and his shotgun is bad. Hollywood is mildly fun to play. The hispanic girl (Fortuna?) is fun but her guns are kinda like peashooters most of the time.

I appreciate the attempt at a dumb 80s style cartoon game but they don't lean into it hard enough. Like there was one bit where they played a cheesy guitar riff and a dude sang "AGENTS OF MAYYYYYHEEEEEM" over a load screen but that was it so far aside from some middling animated cutscenes.

Definitely gonna play more to see how other characters play, but I'm mixed on it so far.

While I have played, and own, pretty much all of the Saints Row games, Agents of Mayhem just doesn't grab me. It's probably a really great game, but Gat Out of Hell didn't grab me because of the lack of character creation, and this is again pre-baked characters with fixed weapons and looks it seems.

How is humor/comedy compared to Saint Row 4?

It's mostly fallen flat in that regards. There was one good bit in the first mission but that was about it so far, but again I've only played about 30 minutes of it. But so far not stellar.
