My wife and I usually watch an anime or 7 before we pass out after the little one goes to bed. And for the last few days we've been having the same issue where the video stops to buffer constantly or the video freezes while the audio jumps back about 10 seconds and the video plays again once the audio catches up.

It shouldn't be my internet connection (180mbps on speedtest.net) and occasionally we can watch a whole episode of something without the buffering issue.

I went looking for a way to reduce the quality to something that might stream better, assuming there is a heavy load, but I couldn't find any settings in the app to handle video quality.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Is there anything I can do about it?

Its really annoying when it takes over an hour to watch 22 minutes of anime.

Try re-setting your Fire device. Sometimes that will fix the problem.
