Wow. Always so many in southern California. But only one in northern California? And as usual, central California doesn't exist. We just feed everyone.

Really looking forward to this bridge, but all the information in the post is about a bride. When do I get to see the bridge?

Yes that is odd. I think the Magus' bridge just a makes a cameo in his back yard.

Posters this time? Went the first time, and was sad there wasn't one--not even the little postcard size ones.

Most movie theaters don't want to waste a screen with an anime screening, while it is a growing market, it just hasn't been tested enough yet. I struggled for years trying to convince the owners of the theater I used to manage before they finally let us screen Full Metal Alchemist: The Star of Milos (I even staked my next raise on whether it would be successful or not). We sold out for that show, and they were convinced there was a market for it. (I'm from So Cal btw, many of the theaters down there have followed suit now)

Anyways it takes an average of 30 tickets minimum to cover the costs of a show that is only screened once, and that kind of number is hard to guarantee unless you know you already have the market for it. (Btw anime movie goers purchase less concessions on average and are messier too sadly)

TD;LR - If theaters in your area aren't screening anime specials, get as many people as you can (30+ is ideal) and give them a petition requesting them to screen it. It is your best chance at getting it locally, and complaining on here will never help.

I'm in Nor Cal but there's no way I'm gonna drive all the way to north of Sacramento from the Bay Area for this.

Heck I work close to where the CR Expo is and I'm not even gonna go to that. I'm done with conventions 10 years ago.

I feel bad for CR. Literally 99% of their replies are just negative comments. I can't imagine how much i'd hurt to be an employee seeing threads like this

Thank you this was great insight. I always wondered what it would take or what the theaters would need to show an anime movie.
