Not sure on how much they need, but if they could raise enough money to get season 2 and 3 made as well. It would be cool.

Stretch Goals:

$140K - All $55+ Tiers Get: Himeya Company Patch
$150K - Season 1 English Cast Commentary
$160K - All $95+ Tiers Get: Numbered Lithograph
$180K - Season 2 Part 1 English Dub in 2.0 + 5.1
$200K - Season 2 Part 1 English Cast Commentary
$210K - All $55+ Tiers Get: Orange Planet Company Patch
$220K - Neo-Venezia Season 1 Softcover Guidebook
$230K - Neo-Venezia Guidebook Upgrade to Hardcover
$240K - Season 2 Part 2 English Dub in 2.0 + 5.1
$250K - Neo-Venezia Guidebook Upgrade to Include Season 2
$260K - Season 2 Part 2 English Cast Commentary
??? - More Adventures Available!

So, they need to get at LEAST $240K to dub Season 2 (keep in mind it's 26 episodes as opposed to 13). As of this writing, the Kickstarter is over $142K and there's still 23 days to go. If the pace keeps up, I think there will be no problem getting at least season 2 dubbed.

I think it's a good idea to have "little" stretch goals along the way to incentivize people to pledge. I still would like soundtracks or plushies, but word is those would be too expensive to do so I'll live with patches and guidebooks.

By the way, before people whine, according to Shawne it's actually CHEAPER to get a dub for season 2 with THIS Kickstarter as opposed to doing a separate one because it avoids production costs or something.

Ah--here it is in update #9:

Much of the cost in the initial Kickstarter budget was due to the mounting of the production and getting things ready to go. Economies of scale will help us to continue to dub the series with additional episodes at a lower cost. This is why we have decided to add Season 2 as a stretch goal here; as a separate project, we would have to start a new production and the cost would be higher overall. So we certainly hope that we can reach the ultimate goal of funding Season 2 as well as this allows us to bring it to you less expensively! In fact, you'll note that the cost for 26 episodes of Aria the Natural to be added here is not really much more than the initial 13 of Aria the Animation!

So, if you REALLY want a "more affordable" season 2, PLEDGE NOW!!

I'm assuming it would be cheaper to fund two seasons because everything will be done at once, instead of doing one season this year, and another season a year or two from now.

Right now I think we need about $80k, to get a full season 2, which should be doable with 22 days to go. I think once we get closer to the end, we could get more pledges quickly. At least that's what I've noticed when these Kickstarters get closer to the end.

You would be correct, the last few days there's ALWAYS a jump. (Since people LOVE to procrastinate). I think we'll reach all the season 2 stretch goals before then. What I'll be curious to see is if we can get Season 3 before the Kickstarter ends. This has been one of the more steady Kickstarters I've seen. Usually around now things start slowing WAY down, but that hasn't happened here. We're getting about 1-2 stretch goals each day, which is pretty dang good. Hopefully the trend continues.

A full season 2 in the KS is almost certain. The'll be unlocking new pledge levels at higher cost, since the existing pledge levels (at least below $1,000) do NOT include getting the season 2 discs. The stretch goals are just to create season 2, you need to up your pledge to get it.

So: 2.1 unlocks, I and a lot of other people increase our pledges, instantly jumping it much closer to the 2.2 unlock. Then we up our pledges again to get the full season 2.

We might not get season 3 as an unlock for this KickStarter, but since S1-S2 will succeed we'll get a second KS for S3.

I'm happy :)

Yeah, I upgraded my pledge to a higher tier. So hopefully we can get all of season 2. Maybe next time we can get season 3 funded.

No thanks I already got the dvd which I am currently watching from time to time. I hope they put more of it online, since I doubt I'll buy more of the series it's- just a tad- boring. The character animation leaves much to be desired. Not saying it's a bad series- but I'm surprised at its popularity considering it's kind of slow and dull looking, that there's a push to get a dub, etc.

The guidebook (softcover) stretch goal has now been reached. The kickstarter page hasn't been updated yet. I don't know if there will be an update over the weekend or until Monday. Either way, we're getting closer to getting all of season 2 on Blu-Ray, YAY!!!
