I mean the two should merge, even though they are geographically at different location. But I mean if the two world's biggest super power merge, what else are the rest of us gonna do?

The rest is your choice:
1. Merge with Taiwan
2. Canada
3. Japan
4. Russia
5. Australia
6. Portugal

P.S How about pseudo friendship merge? Cheaper traveling ticket, higher currency, happier people
P.S Back in 1000BC the country is one, we've divided ourselves because of the differences, it is time for us to merge again

No. If U.S.A. were to merge with anyone, Canada is the only reasonable option. But even Canadians aren't nice enough to let our politics affect them.

Because we can't live peacefully together. Whether it's ideological and philosophical differences, or the fact that different peoples and regions of the globe have different interests and needs, there will always be 'us' and 'them'. History has demonstrated that quite well. Trying to take separate countries with unique histories and some degree of national pride (usually acceptable, imo), and forcing them together won't solve anything.

And that's aside from the debate about whether extreme levels of globalism are even desirable.

If either country willingly merges then I don't see a problem. We like anime because we are able to accept Japanese culture. Sure the culture and history are different, but when you see pass these differences, politics are mostly the same. So why not have a central government, just one, that rules the earth? I'm sure the same ruling structure can be applied for all countries, well alright maybe tyranny still exist

No. US doesn't need anyone else. They are already the most powerful superpower

I don't disagree that America is the most powerful superpower, but even then you can use an ally

The one that makes the most sense if Japan or Canada since well, Canada is right next door, and since Japan is probably our closest ally here in the States.

Liking anime and appreciating that different countries have different cultures is not the same as trying to make foreign lands the same as yours. Politics are not mostly the same, even if a few basic principles are. Laws differ hugely between Japan and America. Try telling America "Hey, we're merging with Japan, and as part of that, you're gonna give up the 2nd Amendment of your constitution." Or vice versa. Japan probably wouldn't be huge on the idea of the very loose gun control we have here.

Because fuck that. Seriously. That's a totally different argument than the one we have going right now, but I very much disagree with that level of globalism.

Canada, America, Mexico are all close to each other, what we need is a fast inter continental transport system

...So what? The U.S. and Mexico speak different languages. Part of Canada doesn't speak much English. There is more between us than a little ground.
