thanks to number 44 China bought America by that president giving all the gold out of fort knox, so, now they are slowly physically buying America. the merging of country or world is a bad idea, period. it's alright to stand on the same policies, or similar policies, but the idea of one world, is frightening. same religion, same form of currency... naw I'll pass, stay divided yet have a common social interaction and remotely "peacefully".

Land is already merged, it is called Earth divided by invisible boundaries agreed on and held by nothing more than words printed on some document by a bipedal ape animal that evolved to barely not piss on themselves.

Topic is pointless, The Human Species is generally worthless when it comes to a discussion about something like this because of the various opinions. The utopia of say the Star Trek universe where everyone gets along, not going to happen if we cannot just get along over stupid statues causing riots, colored people getting shot creating riots, different religious beliefs, or something just as simple as humanitarian aid such as food or medicine where it is needed. Humans have too much internal greed and desires for themselves, national pride only magnifies and exacerbates the problem to the point where when one expands out at the same time you become semi-suspicious internally or externally at anything as a threat over a region of dirt.

How refreshingly nihilistic of you.

I'm pretty sure China can overthrow America.

Especially when they got Russia as bros.

They just want to see if they are stupid enough to strike first.

Hey Trump... North Korea said ur army is trash, like do you really call that an army, you wouldn't even last a day. Oooooo look at us now, ( don't you nuke Guam, I told you what would happen) oh you mean like this ? * Hovers hand over button* ( S-stop) I'm gonna press it, look how close I am. ( fuck off! THAT'S IT!!)

And that's how China became the super power of the world. That's history for the people.

I understand the reasoning behind wanting to merge every country together because if every country is the same country, hey no more war right? But one just has to look at the violence happening in America right now to see that that is naive. Despite the differences between the North and the South, America has a pretty homogeneous culture all things considered and just look at how tense things are here anyway. Trying to merge a Western capitalist nation with an Eastern nominally Communist one is just asking for disaster. One last point I want to make, and this is not a very good point at all but I'm going to say it anyway, the Bible appears to prophecise a one-world government in the end times (Revelations 13:2-4). The only reason I bring this up is because it's going to be a hard sell to a lot of Christians who still make up a sizeable portion of the U.S.

This issue must be part of the globalization versus populism. Anyway, why should countries of vastly different geography, history, and culture merge when UN already exist? The US did form "partnership" with many former European colonies and it result in a puppet government who support foreign business and attract job outsourcing from US by forcing the third world citizen to work long hours and harsh condition with very low pay.

No. If U.S.A. were to merge with anyone, Canada is the only reasonable option. But even Canadians aren't nice enough to let our politics affect them.

Culturally and economically we are the only two nations in our area in the world that have a large amount in common and that could theoretically work without a large amount of problems. That being said I doubt many Canadians would even want that, although a de facto pseudo-merging via freedom of movement/employment probably wouldn't face all that much backlash on either side of the border if it were proposed.

I'm not for it mostly because my civil liberties would be in danger, or just plain wouldn't exist. Not many of those countries have the same opportunities as the US does, and I'm sure that would change if a merge were to take place.

Dude most people in the U.S can't even be bothered to learn a second language. You expect these same people to merge with another country? lol

NO! Why? China and the U.S. are mindbogglingly similar and yet so different. Americans would never put up with the Chinese government. The only thing that binds our two countries to gather is capitalism. Those people pointing out transportation as an issue. Aside from few things make in japan, ( I buy a lot of Japanese stuff) and Taiwan (also China, if your from China) everything within arms reach of me right now is made in china.

Is denying reality your forte? Because I'm actually impressed by your ability to deny reality.
