Don't know if there are any news about it, but I've recently finished OPM and it left me with one question. IS THERE GONNA BE A SEASON 2?! The hype and comedy in that show is to die for hahaha. So if anyone has anything post away!

Rumor has it that the production company is trying to get enough support get a kickstarter to fund a season two. Then again a lot of second seasons are pending on the same thing.

I do know for a fact that The Devil Is A Part Timer has a kickstarter that will launch soon along with five other anime. Maybe OPM will be one of them but mostly it's going to be a hide and watch, as is most cases when dealing with kickstater anime funding.

That bites. Seems like it could generate enough revenue on it's own. Do you think that's going to be the way of anime from now on just waiting and hoping...

On the other side of the same coin, I've never heard of "The Devil is A Part Timer". Would you recommend it?

Do I believe that will be the way of anime from now on? Yes and no.

I say no because, while anime has picked up in popularity as of recent years due to such companies as Crunchy Roll, Netflix, Hulu, Funamation, and Viz making anime more accessible legally, anime itself is mostly dictated by its novel/manga counterpart.

An example of this would be Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor. Currently there are only eight light novels & the five manga, last ones were released back in March 2017. However, only the first five manga/novels were used for the 12 episode 1st season. Though the money is there for a season two, it is completely dependent upon the completion of the next two light novel or five manga in the series.

I say yes because, as is the case of Devil is a Part Timer, the light novels are there but the funding isn't due to the series being originally produced by a smaller corporation, Siren Visual. It was later picked up by Funamation hence the Kickstarter. They want to see if enough interest is still available in the series before starting a second season. Or at least that was the way it was explained to me when I asked about it @ a convention this year.

Would I recommend it Devil is a Part Time? Yes. I found it amusing and enjoyable. Of course I've read all the light novels and manga so I may be a bit bias.
