probably stardust crusaders for being painfully boring and not having character development

I'm with this guy.

It's like having an entire cast of colorful characters, and making the most bland one the main character....then have him do nothing.

I don't know about the "no character development" part, but yeah Stardust Crusaders is definitely the worst.

Spoilers ahead, probably.

Part 8 I haven't been highly impressed with, but it still has time to be good.

Part 3 was a huge let-down in comparison to part 2. It replaced what was a very interesting story with very interesting monsters with...magical spirits that had very boring and cookie-cutter super-powers, as opposed to the interesting uses of Hamon used prior. The ending though was good, and part 4 made up for it by improving on the creativity of Stands. Part 3 would have been infinitely better if Stands had been properly explained or defined, and if Hamon were made more relevant rather than less, but the author seemed incapable of coming up with anything consistent there. Avoiding plot inconsistencies has never been his strength, he's always excelled instead at just making interesting battles and the like - even if the overall plot suffers.

If I had to say which part I hate the most, it would probably be part 5. Mainly because it has basically no connection to the rest of the story, and has a very contrived ending.

However, every part has flaws.

Part 1 is flawed in that it is short and doesn't do much to expand on the usage of Hamon.

Part 2...well, part 2 isn't really flawed at all, it improved greatly on everything and executed an excellent plot and improved creativity of powers. Of course, its inclusion of Caesar's death seems contrived, as does the way that the final villain is taken out - but such contrived plot points are a staple of JoJo, and in comparison to what happens in later parts, these seem quite minor.

Part 3 completely ignored Parts 1 and 2 by removing the importance of "Hamon," instead replacing it with an unrelated new power just to "spice things up," and worst of all - reviving DIO out of an inability to come up with a good new villain, and destroying the sacrifice made by Jonathan in part 1. Stands however are not entirely a boring thing, and the final confrontation between Dio and Jotaro was excellent.

Part 4 also completely screwed up the plot by turning Joseph - someone who up until this point had always been an upstanding and good man as far as we've been told - into a cheat and a senile old man (again ignoring everything to do with Hamon, such as its ability to reduce aging that there is zero reason he would have avoided). The stands however are more interesting than in part 2, and the plot overall is quite fun to read.

Part 5...is just bad through and through. It seems like an entirely unrelated story to the other parts, not even having a true "JoJo" in it.

Part 6 is actually very interesting to read, and has very interesting Stands and such. Were it not for the incredibly contrived ending, where the universe literally ends and the sacrifices of literally every character in all prior parts is made totally meaningless, I would rate this part higher. As it stands, JoJo has never been great with its plot, but the plot in general has consistently been poor since Part 2.

Part 7 on the other hand was excellent, to the point that I would rate it about equally with part 2. The ending seemed a bit rushed, but it had great characters and was interesting from start to finish.

Part 8 is alright, but very odd. It doesn't have the novelty that Part 7 had that allowed me to forgive it for the author basically completely invalidating the prior parts to the story in order to make it (such as by the ending in Part 6).

I enjoyed Jotaro final fight with Dio. Very entertaining fight even if the conclusion was sort of stupid imo just randomly giving Jotaro the same ability. The arc was pretty fun in general with fun characters

Then afterward, he would return a few years to meet his "uncle" and some how just got weaker for no logical reason. There were 100+ situation where Jotaro could of just stopped time and resolved everything but instead he chooses not to because he some how got dumber even though he acts smarter...? Let be real, Jotaro almost died to a rat.....A RAT! The guy that killed this vampire that has laser beams, freezing touch, time stopping stand, regeneration and pretty much immortal......almost died to a RAT!!! Don't really understand why this character is so beloved, the character is very inconsistent in how he acts and his ability

If I had to pick, I would say that part 2 would be my favorite. Joseph is such a lovable character and the only thing holding back this arc is the weak villain

Worst arc imo would be stardust as well imo. Fun watch but many of the villain did not really serve much purpose. They just felt like filler and many offer little to no character development. Large chunk of the stardust crusade could be skipped and little would change. Part 4 sort of like this too but at least many of villain returned to do something for the story.

I agree that part 3 was kind of boring and no interesting enough. After 10 episode its very repetitive, they walk in a place, someome stand attack them, they defeat the stand used, end.
