I'm from the UK, and I've visited lots of places such as New Zealand, Singapore, Italy (4 times), Spain (twice), France (4 times), Germany, Austria, The Czech Republic, The Netherlands, Canada (twice) and several states in the US. I'm also planning on going to Japan next year.

My favourite places have to be New Zealand and Canada as the scenery and the views are stunning!!

I lived on USA (San Antonio, Tx.) for a month because of my job

One thing you'll learn is that, it's not the same when you visit a country as when you actually move there

From when i went to San Antonio, the first week was like "oh, this is awesome!!" lot of places for shopping, there were many product that i was not able to get in Mexico, (of course, some figures ;)

But then i realized that San Antonio is very calm, and a little boring. also, realized that food is very expensive compared to my home. And the worst part: medical system. When i got back to Mexico, i was a little bit dissapointed, but then i realized that USA is a big country, so i'm planning on give it another try.

I've been around, but to those who have come to Canada, could you be a little more specific? It's not like it's the second biggest country or anything...
I live in Oil Province, a.k.a Alberta, and had not traveled east (In fact just got back from Ontario & Quebec 6 days ago)

As for my travels:
- Americas: USA (East coast (Maine-Florida), Alaska & Houston, TX) , Canada (AB, BC, ON & QC), Bahamas, Antigua, St. Martin/St. Marteen, Dominican Republic, Aruba, Venezuela, Colombia, Brazil (São Paulo & Rio de Janeiro), Argentina
- EU: Spain, France, Belgium, Netherlands (just AMS), Luxembourg, Germany (Trier & Frankfurt), England, Italy, Hungary, Greece, Turkey,
- UAE (Dubai & Abu Dhabi)

Desire:
- Japan
- South Africa
- Ireland (both)
- Iceland

I have very little desire to travel. For me it feels like a bit of a cheap way out. I'll go there and peer briefly into the goings on of other people, and then maybe never see most of them again. Meanwhile there are hundreds, thousands of people right here. Am I really improving my family and community by people-watching in a cafe in Paris or talking with my neighbors at the cafe back home?

I've been trying to live more local. I still intend to travel to a few places, but not that many

I really...REALLY want to visit Japan, but I have too many doubts and fears about actually doing it that I don't see myself visiting there anytime soon.

Japan is fine, the people are polite and respectful. They don't mind the fact your Japanese may not be prefect and they are far more forgiving of mistakes in etiquette then most other countries. France on the other hand..well the French are fucking assholes which is weird considering their country was saved twice by foreign powers. Foreigners are treated like crap in France and I can't not stress enough to give the whole country a pass.

had to grab my passport to check lol

Saudi arabia. France, Italy, Japan, Guam, Russia, Panama, Mexico, 5 hours in airport in Germany if that counts?

As a citizen of the US I would say avoid France, Guam and if you dont have a guide... avoid Panama
