When the anime story revolves around incest... like Oreimo. I hate that.

1. Unrealistic situations.
Like how in "Saga of tanya the evil" no one questions a 9yo girl being a frontline commanding officer.
At LEAST make it seem like a normal thing, like having more kids in the military or something.

2. Certain types of fanservice.
I don't dislike fanservice as such, as long as it doesn't disrupt the plot. BUT i have a big problem with it when the characters are underage, like in "In Another World With My Smartphone" ep 10 where all the girls are in bikini for most of the episode and the focus is on their cleavage and asses quite a bit....
Watching that made me feel "am i on a government watchlist now?"

3. Turning capable and strong female characters into "damsels in distress" that need to be saved by the main character.
Looking at you, "Sword Art Online".......FFS Asuna is literally the second best player in SAO, yet needs to be saved from lesser players by Kirito......

What are Cthulhu tits? Lol

Cthulhu was the cephalopod shaped evil deity in H.P. Lovecraft lore. Big and ugly

Ah right - I was aware of him and assumed you were referring to him but ive never associated him with breasts

There is literally an anime for everything.

I'm okay with bitch MC's, as long as it turns into a Ken Kaneki thing --if it doesn't, I'm immediately disappointed.

No character growth.

Pointless fan service. A little bit isn't bad, but, when you can tell the series is trying really hard to fit it in every scene, it starts getting a bit annoying. On the other hand, somehow I ended up loving High School DxD... Probably because
--I'm pretty sure it's just how it sells itself.

The harem protagonist that is incredibly shy, never commits, and never chooses.

I'm okay with clichés as long as they add their own little twists. It's pretty hard to make a completely original plot nowadays --everything has been done to death. It's just a matter of art, execution, and characters imo.

People that bash other people's favorites. I might not like what you like, but, I'm not going to tell you that it sucks. I may just tell you I couldn't get into it.

And for the love of all that is unholy, I hate that accidental fall-down-boob-grab-15-second-stare-into-a-scream-and-slap, shit. Likewise, when the MC doesn't do anything wrong, and ends up seeing the girl naked or whatever, and she reacts by beating his ass. That is a dead horse that has been beaten to ash.

There's more, but I can't think of them atm.

I hate how often anime either never actually finishes the story, has an "anime original ending" (which usually sucks), or simply... never ends. Anime that go on for years and years and years (One Piece I'm looking at you) just lose my interest. I much prefer concise stories that can be wrapped up in 26 episodes or less (with the occasional 54 episode Gundam series when they don't suck these days).

For the first point, more often than not it ends up being something along the lines of "Want some real closure? Dying to see what happens? Read the manga/light novel!"

Problem is, I just can't really get into manga. And on the few occasions I've actually sat down and read them... I've been sorely disappointed. And then with the light novels... hell, they're so slow to be translated if they're translated at all.

So now I try not to watch anime series unless they've finished airing. I check reviews and make sure there isn't an "anime original ending" and that the story actually wraps up. If these boxes aren't ticked then... I skip it.

I just saw a guy in my class with the word Hentai printed on his t-shirt. Um, the fanbase? Slashings and stalking and stuff? No thank you.
I HATE filler arcs to the point where I usually don't watch anime/movie original materials.

I don't really hate anime itself, more like those who watch it. The sub elitist, those who like to hate everything, those who hate watches and comment everywhere, the know it all that talk about director and how they clearly didn't like working on X series. Yea anime watchers are the bane of anime more then they are a boon.

Poor artist pay u-u;

Oversaturation of bad shows looking to make a cheap buck

The fanservice.

I got nothing against it in theory, but I hate fanservice that clashes with the general tone of the series.

What I hate about mecha anime is the inability to take war themes, mech battles and political conflict a lot more seriously. Some of us are really tired of seeing mecha anime characters fawning over or falling in love with pilots, which is like pure, grade A, 100 percent teen drama or soap opera bullcrap (I'm looking at you Zeta Gundam).

1. The fans because they can be the worst obsessives
2. The need for angst it really ruins characters and series
3. when the plot feels overly convenient I'm not just talking deus ex machina
4. when fillers are boring I don't mind when they are put in a sensible place and don't effect the plot but when they are tedious and an arc that never gets even so much as referenced the reason Bleach is a tough watch for me
5. the main character stealing the programme and making all the other characters irrelevant
6. main character being the special one for no apparent reason
7. when characters seem to be forgotten about or not present despite them being important to the main character for no reason
8. when a series gets ruined due to inflated anticipation why I can't get into the Fate series
9. waiting for the enemy transformations and talking
10. the "I lost a fight/competition so now I agree with you fully" all sins being completely forgiven.
11. when the only consequence to death is a new evil or vengeance
12. characters being wrote to die
13. everyone having a tragic backstory
!4. bad subs/dubs
15. lack of translator notes why is this thing significant moments
16.the desire for people to keep series and anime in whole their special secret that must never become popular
17. to be continued in the manga

there might be more that I can't think of right now

Lolicon scenarios.

Idiot and Overly Modest Males - I was an awkward teen especially around girls, but the first time a girl let me know she was good to go, there was no hesitation on my part. I definitely didn't scream and freak out at the sight of one or because they touched me (Bell Cranel, most MCs in harem animes).

Harem Animes

Scenes were the guy opens a closed door to find a female changing. How about knocking bro?/ A guy randomly feeling around then grabbing a handful of boob and giving a couple of squeezes.

Brother Sister Incest overtones

Fan Service / Especially Beach Episodes

Tsunderes - Not cute or endearing. At all.

I hate that it is not main stream like sports. It would be nice to be able to start up a conversation with anime and have a the other person look slightly embarrassed they don't watch it. As opposed to them bringing up sports and my eyes glazing over, while I'm the one who is supposed to be embarrassed.

I'm not talking about friends here, I'm talking about being forced to a random social gathering and knowing you will be in the majority. That would be great

The fact that no main character besides Shinichi from Parasyte, and Spike from Bebop have gotten laid in their respective shows. Even these harem shows don't get the MC laid, he just has 6 shitty tsunderes vying for his seed but they won't do him. Alright alright.

This is a good point as well. One of the reasons for my other hates/dislikes. So many anime have such young casts, 11 year olds, 15 year olds, kids in high school. They don't have to always be young kids. Give me more Bebops/Berserk/Stein's Gate
