Ah yes now on Crunchyroll except if you live a different country like the UK where literally none of the new additions are available

Aesthetica and Kumamiko should both be available in the UK (gb, ie), at least according to the announcement... It's only 28% of this announcement, but not zero... Maybe you didn't care about those? Or maybe you need to set your subtitle language to English US (instead of UK)? All Funi subs that come over seem to require that change of default. Some are set in each app individually, others in the video settings: /acct/?action=video

Wow. Once again, Australia is left out of the majority. I wish I could summon the energy to be surprised.

That is probably going to be the case for a majority of the Funimation titles, as many would have already been sub-licensed to Madman or someone else there. If they aren't on Funimation's expanded service to Australia and New Zealand, don't expect that to change when the subtitled versions move over to CR.

Any new titles are a good add. Also please stop shoving the VRV ad. I am well aware of its sad existence and hope it gets improved greatly in the near future

Is Soul Eater NOT pretty much a slice of life version of Soul Eater? Like there's no serious bad guys happening upon, no one is forced into learning to fight evil, etc?

It has been 2 years since I viewed it, but if you are expecting no battles at all you'll be disappointed by the end. Likewise, if you are expecting battles throughout, you would also be disappointed.

Is Funimation dying? They used to license new shows and everything, they had a cable channel, and now it feels like they are dying a slow death.

They've expanded to UK/EIRE (and recently opened console app for those countries), have been creating more simuldubs than ever before, have partnered with CR to access more titles to ship as Blu-rays and all licenses are shared with CR so literally anything CR gets they get access to as well. Theres a reason they were a very attractive investment for Sony.

Anyway seems none of their catalogue titles were ported to CR this week, shame. I've a sub there anyway but CR gets the odd title I can't even access with it thanks to the partnership (Lord Marksman and Vanadis, OniAi etc) so I always take heed to see what's new.

Is it unusual that there weren't any new titles this week?

With the exception of Soul Eater Not!, the shows that are US and Canada only are older titles, and for those, being US and Canada only is understandable. At the time Funimation acquired them, they weren't even thinking about expanding to the UK & Ireland, and for some, online streaming wasn't even a factor at the time.

I see Soul Eater Not! is licensed by Madman in Australia and New Zealand, and by Manga Entertainment in the UK, which explains why despite being a newer title, those countries are not covered.

Koi Koi Seven is a Discotek title, and I can't recall if any of there titles have ever been anything other than the US and Canada. Of course, from what I've seen said about that show, it certainly doesn't seem to be one of those "best shows".

I am glad that a lot is being added. Can you please add the entire Fafner collection in Funimation so that it will go hand in hand with the Fafner Exodus in Crunchyroll? Fafner the Beyond is coming, and would love to see that in Crunchyroll too :-) Thanks
