Silicon valley, the place where every programmer and electrician must know. But what is so magical about this place? Besides the weather and well built environment. The work place, is just a building with a lot of computers. Why not duplicate this seemingly perfect business model to every state in America? After all, computers = work

No offense taken Lorrreen , but I am not a businessman , keep up the good work

P.S Welp, anyway, no hard feelings

Nothing is "so magical" about it. The early computer companies setting up there set the culture and now it's where you go to be taken seriously as a technology start-up if you're looking for VC cash and hype to get bought by Facebook.

In fact, given the ridiculous costs of operating and living nearby you'd be better off starting up somewhere else entirely. Especially if you've got an actually viable business.

One is that it was probably less developed, so there was lot's of place to develop (or not have to fight to redevelop)
Two is probably there being a large amount of Silicon (physical resources are still important, even in the information age and industry)

From there, it was probably just a domino effect.
