I don't know if i should read it. I like watching anime more then manga because i think anime is just better then manga imo. The anime seems o be going at a good pace so should i just watch the anime or the read ahead in manga? Your thoughts?

Manga takes a lot less time to read.... also they have a lot of good stuff you are going to wait for when the anime cuts off. For this arc I would say watch the anime because I think it will be better because they can add more stuff.

If you don't read the manga you won't completely understand the anime. In anime they cut out a lot info from the manga. Plus there's a lot of cliff hangers in anime if it's not a popular show or a slow season. Best to read it and get it over with.

For this anime you are wrong. If anything it's more detailed.

I've moved this to the Advice, Info, Recommendations forum.

Probably the only good reason for reading the manga if you normally prefer anime to manga is if you are concerned about encountering spoilers or if you are just loving the anime so much that you can't bear not to have more right now!

Otherwise I'd say there's no particular reason to bother. I started reading the manga when it first came out and, frankly, I wasn't enjoying it so I stopped reading. But I did give the anime a chance and I love it!. I am completely happy to keep watching the anime and to never read the manga.

The adaptation follows the manga very closely. As a superhero action series, it's fun to see it in motion and full color. I find the manga has a bigger impact with understanding the characters and storyline (especially the "blank page" pieces). Plus I love Kouhei Horikoshi's artwork. His work is so thorough the studio really has it easy filling in the blanks.

Currently reading it through WSJ, I also have the books. I've re-read passages before and following episodes to compare and contrast. Your level of investment is up to you. Both the manga and adaptation are equally great; each can stand on its own. But knowing what's going to happen gets me excited because I get to see it all over again in motion!
