I was organizing my manga collection and realize that I don't have a lot of space to buy more manga. I have a pretty decent size bedroom and I have four bookshelves but I fill the bookshelves with figures, DVD's, manga, comics and books. It has gotten to the point where I had to donate most of my books to make room for manga. Heck I needed to donate some manga to make room for more manga I actually read!

I might move in with my fiance next year in a apartment and I hope that it will give me enough space for more shelves for more manga.

So my question is, how do you manage your space for more manga? What does your shelving look like (feel free to post pictures)? And do you have any tips for storing more manga?

Stacking manga is terrifying but it can make some more room on a shelf, not just in storage. My One Piece stuff would be overflowing if I didn't grab a buncha 3-in-1's. Oh yeah get 3-in-1's if you don't mind

I try to keep organized but it doesn't really help lol. I have 2 shelves that are above my bed, one has my manga on it along with some keychains and a small-ish Laughing Buddha statue and the other has my anime figures and such. The shelf with my manga is small and I only have 4 volumes of manga on it but hopefully when my room is expanded I will have room for a bigger shelf to keep my manga and figures on that since most of my manga is under my bed xD
Also, stacking manga is horrifying when trying to get a volume to read. The pile can fall over, become harder to read the titles, etc but it does indeed take up less space than having them all sideways!

I have like 3 manga and 8-9 light novels and like a bunch of books but they're either scattered around my room or in boxes since I don't have a bookshelf.

I have 5 shelves attached to my wall, that hold my manga(picture in my profile). I have three more that hold my movies and anime. I think pretty soon, I'll need to move my anime/movies somewhere else to make more room for manga.

Just bought a new bookcase the other day, so there, until I can't fit them there anymore.

A big ass bookcase and wall bookshelves. And my desk has several shelves too, so I won't run out of space that soon. Most of my manga is on the bookcase, my books on the desk shelves, and the imported manga (I like to get a local copy whenever I visit a new country, plus got several in japanese since I'm learning and manga has hiragana next to kanji, so it's good for improving vocab) stays locked inside one desk, though I don't think even my little sister would actually go after them.

I like keeping the manga on the bookcase because it has glass doors, so it's more protected. Manga from where I'm from is quite delicate (at least imo, but honestly manga books from one of the companies over here has a 99% of a lose page coming out as soon as you open it)

Tall bookcases, shelves here, shelves there, even a hand-painted cupboard, plus shelves (California closet) that are off limits to prying eyes. Some manga like Blame! make for nice coffee table books, too. Books are rotated occasionally to keep it fresh.
