It's cool but also a pain. Eventually you come to the decision of whether she is worth dealing with. Or you never do and she is amazing forever.

Main point is your not missing much.

My first GF was cool, It was fun and exciting for me. I remember the summer of 2000 watching Jerry Springer and having sex everyday. It was the summer of being young, stupid and having fun.

She was cool, but not the one.

Lets flip this around and ask the ladies how was your first boyfriend?

Well. It just so happens I am a girl. But I hope my input is as good as any mans (:

Like everybody else says, it depends on the girl. But the most ideal relationship with a girl (I suppose) is someone who can encourage you when you need the motivation. Someone who don't really care about your ''flaws''. Someone who still want to be close to you even though you have the flu. Someone you like spending time with and want to spend as much time with as possible.

My last relationship, I aimed to be a friend, a lover and a confidant to my man. I would bring him fresh chicken ramen soup from a good take-out restaurant, when he was sick. I would want him to be happy and encourage him whenever he had ideas and wanted to pursue a new aspect of his career.

So I guess you can say, having a girlfriend is like having an exclusive best friend, where you can be closer than ever - both physically and mentally. I hoped this helped.

Squishy.

Much better than being single if you're looking for the long-short of it.

If you like money, be single.

If you hate money, be in a relationship.

Just fair warning that, when it comes to getting a relationship, applying any knowledge from romance anime will, in a best case scenario get you laughed at and in the worst case see you chased out of your home in the middle of the night by an angry mob armed with torches and pitchforks.

But since adolescents can be oblivious and forgiving, you might luck out, in which case good luck with that.

On the non-economic side of things instead of watching Oni Chichi: Refresh by your lonely self you just have someone near your side.

There isn't one answer to this question. People have lots of different kinds of relationships and in those relationship are, you guessed it, lots of different kind of people. Being in a relationship can be more expensive, as was already pointed out. This isn't only the case if you fall in with a gold digger as I think a lot of couples spend money on each other are are generally more active about going out and doing stuff because if they sit at home all the time they worry something is wrong with their relationship. People also tend to spend money on their partners as a way of reciprocating either money spent on them or something more abstract like effort.

For me the big difference is simple, cuddles. If I'm single I don't live with a girl and get to cuddle her on a daily or regular basis. Sex is great and all, but there is a lot to be said for having someone you can comfortably sleep beside or cuddle up to. I've had sexual encounters with girls I don't know well and am not able to fall asleep next to them for whatever reason or it just doesn't feel genuine when I cuddle up to them.

The downside of relationship is the familiarity. Excitement and novelty tend to dwindle the more comfortable and secure you get with someone.

Having said all that, if you are young, you should probably shop around for a lot of different experiences then when you get older you will have a better idea of what you want or need in whatever kind of life you find yourself living.

But maybe don't take what I've said for much. I'm only 26, reclusive, and have had maybe one serious relationship.

I've had one relationship, which lasted four to five years. I learned much--more than I can comfortably describe since so much of what I learned is specific to me personally, and would try the patience of the listener of the tale perhaps even more than that of the one relating it.
