This was one of my favourite games of all time. I was a SEGA kid but games like this got me into Nintendo and JRPG's.
So many good memories of this game.
I am very interested in this.

Surprisingly no Nintendo release announced. I'll get it on Steam

Oh please no.

A friend used to compare EVERY FUCKING THING to "Secret of Mana", something he never explained and no one else knew what it was.

For the sake of my future sanity, present sanity has to go get the shotgun out of the shed.

You made me do this.

Oh good, now I'm channelling the spirit of Taylor Swift.

I might just shoot myself instead.

I'm very happy, one of the classic 16-bit JRPGs. Chrono Trigger when!

As a giant fan of the original, and one of the rare people who actually feels it was much better than Seiken Densetsu 3, I'm excited but kind of concerned. I'm not really sure of the art style even though I suppose that's probably an accurate conversion of what the original designers may have had in their minds eye while creating the SNES art. I'm also concerned about the music as I found the original music to be godlike and I don't know if the new versions will accurately capture that same level of quality. I'm also hoping for a good dub (or just a JP voice option) as the voice in the trailer sounded just as off to me as most dubs do.

Not a fan of the generic 3D style it has going on, but as long as the gameplay is retained, it should be fun. Surprised it's not coming to the Switch though,

Well your friend has good taste and you sir missed out on a gem. I used to compare every JRPG to Secret of mana as well lol.
I honestly think it is one of the best games of all time. Certainly best JRPG's anyhow.

I never liked Chrono trigger as much as Secret of mana but a remake of that would be cool.

Seiken Denestu 2 (Secret of Mana) was the only one in the series to get a released in my region so i cant say.
Yeah i know what you mean. Iam a bit worried the art style and voice acting could make it seem more kiddie. But yeah i think it dose look like a 3D version of the original. And i guess even the original might seem kiddie to me now at my age?
But yeah it will be so different with voice over. I really hope they dont stuff that part up.
Yes i really feel you about the music! I agree 100%. Lets hope that is dose! Probably the best game OST ever along with FFVII.
Guess i need to watch the video again cos i cant even remember how the voices sound ^^;
But i did notice that they did change teh opening theme slightly..

Yeah lets hope! Yes that is very surprising. Especially seeing as its on hand held and even PC.

^2 Nar its nothing to do with "Dawn of Mana". I actually never played that one. "Legend of Mana" on PS1 seemed shit also.
"Secret of Mana" is far from "Meh" i promise you that.

^ Yeah sort of surprising about it being on Vita. I was told that square enix hasn't done any games on there for a while?

Legend is actually not bad. It has some weird elements that weren't fully or properly developed so it doesn't totally come together, but it's actually kind of a cool addition to the series.

Maybe i didn't give it enough of a go and may have compared it to secret of mana too much?

It's possible. It's a strange game at the best of times and it definitely doesn't really feel like SoM much. If anything it feels more like Seiken Densetsu 3 to actually play.

Heck yeah I'm looking forward to this. Secret of Mana is one of my all time favorite games. Certainly in my top 10. Great memories of playing this in the summer of 94' with my brother. One of my favorite soundtracks too. I even remember the names I gave the main characters, which I will be reusing.

Boy - Tambi
Girl - Mia
Sprite - Zaq

In Australia you guys didn't get Final Fantasy Adventure (the first Mana) or Sword of Mana (the remake)?
