So what happens if the water doesn't go back and this is the new normal because of climate change and rising sea levels.

I hope the national guard dealt with those looters shooting at rescuers. Those are some sick puppies right there. Stay safe OP.

At some point it's going to happen to new Orleans it's also going to have to relocated because they are below sea level. In the south Pacific there are islands being relocated because they have a foot of water all year round now and that has not happened in at least 10,000 year's.

10,000 years ago permanent glaciers were just retreating back from Indiana. We were thawing from a long ice age. Most of those Islands were giant mountains during that time. Are you dense?

They could just be like the Dutch and build great dikes to hold back the water and grab new land.

I'm glad I don't live in Houston (I live in Texas, but more in-land). I did have a relative who lived in Galveston, but she fortunately moved to Washington a few months ago.

10,000 years ago the earth didn't exist. It's only 6,000 years old. Pence told me

Heres my two Pence: Trolling on a thread about people losing their homes and dying is in bad taste.

"apparent"
You think? Makes me sick to my stomach. We aren't anywhere near Katrina levels of death yet but here we are, the same shit happening. The next choppers they send out for rescues better have guns on them.

I'll second that. I worked Red Cross on the admin end during Katrina and it was absolutely brutal. One of the worst points of my career and we weren't even on the ground. We were completely overwhelmed.

If this is even half of Katrina its going to be awful.
