I just started using CR and I want to make a list of things that I like and hate about CR.

Things I like:

- CR is available on all platforms
- CR app asks you if you want to start from the beginning or watch where you have ended
- Easy to use app menu
- Forum
- Fast updates
- That all kind of text is translated in anime (for example: text on phone, in the book)

Things I hate:

- Bufforing circle that shows when you skip too much and you can't pause (app)
- That you can't download episodes to watch them offline (I know it depends on licence etc.)
- Not all anime are available in my country (Poland, I know it also depends on licence etc.)
- I have experienced slow working player on the website. (I prefer to watch anime on Crunchyroll on my iPad, player works better)

I would like to hear other people opinion. If I'll remind myself something I'll add it later.

_Sakuya, you're beautiful, marry me!

...Sorry, I am super attracted to Alisa Ilinichina Amiella from God Eater.

I like the intuitive queue system, as it allows even the most inept users to store shows, but I wish deletion and sorting was greater in depth. I remember when the Drama community was fairly large, but now we barely have anyone willing to discuss it. I also found that Beardfist's Extension greatly enhances my experience up until Crunchyroll has great difficulty allowing me to watch videos without an error coming on. Not sure if Beardfist still works for Crunchyroll, but this is unforgivable.

Community wise? General Discussion sucks. Buddy system is a bit unpolished. Reviews are a bit slanted, and it takes a truly horrible anime to have anything lower than 4 stars, which is more noticeable only if the animation and artstyle are bad, which is shallow when many other works here have horrible everything else but animation and art style.

Gifting codes is a bit more difficult, but can be roundabout. Not being able to send guest passes because your membership expired or one decided to quit, despite those guests being valid, is a horrible move.

Advertising has gotten more excessive, even for those who are premium. The contests for Free All Expenses Paid Trips to Japan are horrible marketing techniques. They reward those who signed up for a free trial, and are fairly under advertised, as well as being a middle finger for those who supported Crunchyroll for YEARS.

The forum moderators here are some of the best and tolerant, shout out to Lorreen and MakotoKamui. (Despite Makoto seeming to harbor some prejudice towards me.)

The comments section has been broken for years now, it only will sort by most recent. That is my biggest complaint but it really bothers me.

Haha I just changed my profile picture. Sorry :P

More often on this forum I can see that CR isn't doing well even when someone supports them.

Things I hate
Having to delete $ to post pictures.
The amount of time it takes to load someones profile.
The fact they shortened the anime section in the about me. I mean it's an anime site you should be able to list all the anime you love.
They got rid of the music player.

Things I like
Unlimited avatar switching
When it says my name before my anime starts cause then I feel special.

I don't know if I understand good but it's hard to get all anime because of license they need to have.

I mean when you list the anime you can't put a lot down because you can only do a certain amount of characters.

It has Fate zero

Forums give me a few chuckles, and I can be myself in creative corner

..... I got a cool star by my username

As long as you have good internet and are located in a "Good" area, and you have good equipment. No problems, maybe some quality issues buffering in and out which is stupid in itself, especially for being HD quality ...... wtever

I have 150Mbps and still it sometimes works slowly. Maybe it's because of my location.

If you aren't in Canada or the US, that's your own issue I'm guessing.

Sometimes there are hiccups, but that is not your fault, it is strictly CR fault, you can blame their video player, which is why I only really use my phone to watch videos instead of my laptop.

Is it just being lazy on their part? No and yes, but mostly yes now, because somebody bought them out.

All I can suggest is using the CR app on your Android phone or tablet....... and I guess Apple to

My only real complaints are:

1) Ordering and product shipment are unpredictable. I had my money refunded once, but totally screwed out of another order. Products are somtimes delayed/dropped without notification and update. I hadn't bought anything since making a new account for that reason. The last time I checked on my missing order (right before my old account was nuked), it was in limbo, and now I can't prove that I ordered the damned thing. I ordered it last fall, and it was supposed to be shipped then, too.

2) Ideological extremes. The forums have become immensely polarized. It wouldn't be all that concerning, if not for there being some favoritism; a patchwork ideology worming itself into power, so to speak. The bias isn't as much as some claim, though. I suppose my primary complaint is that Crunchyroll is becoming less and less casual and open.

3) Advertisements. I'm getting tired of being redirected to an advertisement for CR's sister site whenever I visit. It reminds me of malware.

4) Longtime members dropping from the radar and nuking. The feels.

What I partcularly like:

1) Seeing folks from "way back when." It's incredibly nostalgic.

2) Site support. Shop support aside, I've had pretty good experiences. More than other sites, anyway. It's pretty nice to know that, in spite of personal disagreements, the mods seem to be willing to help out when I'm in a pinch.

Which is a good thing in my book. Every HTML 5 site I visit has audio/video sync problems on every device I use (even if I try from another internet connection). I'm dreading the day CR moves to HTML 5.
